Fantastic. Though Vance is as big of, if not an even bigger wanker, than Trump. Dread to think what the world would be like if he follows as President.

Having said that, I think Trump will do everything in his power to somehow secure a third term. No idea how constitutionally, but he'll obviously try...

I think according to their constitution you can't have elections whilst the country is "at war", so I think we'll see that spin.

He has actually referred to his own troops who have been killed, wounded or taken prisoner as “losers.”

As for the talking German comment, apart from the general crassness, he was also addressing an audience in whose country the main language is……German.

He did, I forgot about that. What a hideous human being - how on earth someone like that got that position I don't understand. Well, money and so on, but you know what I mean, it should never happen.

Vote Farage, get Trump. And/or Putin.

Interesting piece from a political commentator this morning. Trump has no time or regard for  the likes of Starmer, Macron and Merz. That is why he is happy to wind them up with his stupid comments. He wants the far right parties in power in Europe. People who speak his language and who he can manipulate much easier. Farage would be his pet poodle in the UK.

More inclined to think it’s more a knee jerk reaction to the Europeans not wanting to serve on his Gaza profit panel because Putin is there.

I’d say your comments are more relating to Vance and Musk - they are definitely on a white supremacy agenda in Europe. Trump is certainly a racist but those two are fascist to the core.

I don’t think Trump has any belief system other than total control and power. He certainly has no time for liberal democracies and you won’t find many of them (western) on his New Order Board of Peace.

Lets not forget who campaigned to get this cunt in office...

Every other party has put out strong statements debunking the garbage Trump came out with including from Al Carns who actually did several tours of Afghanistan.

Anyone want to guess the leader and party yet to?

Clue: It’s a Putin dick-sucking snake who betrays this country.

One man won the VC. Another got his Daddy to pay off a doctor to say he had bone spurs so he didn’t have to go to Vietnam.

The coward is the one now telling the world that the US allies didn’t give it 100% when called upon by Article 5 of the NATO charter.

Apparently Murdoch’s Fox News has been reporting that Trump was triumphant at Davos. Nothing about backing down and editing his speech to make it look better (that must be some AI package).

Abraham Lincoln won an election during the Civil War.

TBF Jenrick has called him out.

Picture this scenario.
A Trump like figure is President of the USA during WW2 and Japan did not attack Pearl Harbour in December 1941.
Until the Pearl Harbour attack 'Trump' (like Roosevelt) was not prepared to get involved in a European conflict especially as there were quite a few Nazi supporters in the USA, likely to be militant supporters of 'Trump' style President.
'Trump's' male side of the family were German so perhaps there would be some sympathy for the German cause there.
Whilst quite a few people in this country believe 'WE' won the war, that isnt historically correct.
First of all many people from Commonwealth countries fought and died in the conflict and without the men and materials from the USA we would really have struggled to fend of German advances.
'Trump' might well have seen Hitler and Mussolini as being powerful leaders he admired and would see himself as the 'Deal Maker' able to see a way of expanding the US 'Empire' by doing a deal with the Germans & Italians for them to pursue their objectives whilst negotiating for control of parts of the defeated British/French/Dutch/Danish overseas territories.
All of us have to thank our lucky stars that Donald J Trump was not around to influence politics in the 1940's!!

He'd probably have been more receptive to Joe Kennedy at the very least.

The BBC asked the White House about the reaction to Trump's comments about Afghanistan among NATO members, and the UK specifically.

This was the tone deaf response;

"President Trump is right – America’s contributions to Nato dwarf that of other countries, and his success in delivering a five percent spending pledge from Nato allies is helping Europe take greater responsibility for its own defence.

"The United States is the only Nato partner who can protect Greenland, and the President is advancing Nato interests in doing so."

A bigger deflection than Scienza's goal midweek..

Starmer hasn’t held back!

Take note Donald. If you want to unite a country against you, just insult their veterans.

Long overdue. Leaders need to listen to, and adopt, what they likes of Carney and Newsom are saying. Enough already of pandering to the idiot.

They’ve lost the plot and that what happens when leaders, especially when they’ve got more flaws than a department store and dangerous personality disorders, surround themselves with yes men (and Leavitt). Combined with the tanking US economy, rocketing prices, and ICE killing US citizens, he’s in for a rough 2026 culminating in a hiding in November even Saints would baulk at. Trying to beg State officials to invent 10,000 votes won’t help him.
