Didn’t agree with Graham on many issues but he was a staunch ally of Ukraine’s, in fact he was there just before he passed.

He wasn't when Vance and Trump ganged up on Zelensky in that White House press conference.

Yeah, that was disappointing at the time. Possibly Graham was having more issues at the time with Trump licking Putin’s arse and trying to get Zelensky to do the same with Trump to keep him sweet, but I agree that he should have stood up to Trump and Vance there.

Ironically the guy who kicked it off, MGT’s husband and her are now anti-Trump!

Overall he was one of the biggest US backers of Ukraine though and said to Trump - lose in Ukraine and lose Taiwan (and all of the chips Trump prizes).

Yeah, he was pretty hawkish on Russia and Iran.  I'll remember him as someone who ultimately lacked the courage of his convictions though - failure to stand up to Trump with that Zelensky stunt and failure to oppose Trump over 6th January (I think he initially said something about being "done" with Trump).  Not really that much different from pretty much all Republicans though.

The petulant man-baby has a new target - the Falklands.

Argentina have started ramping up their rhetoric over sovereignty, ( strangely, since work started on exploiting oil fields near the islands ), and Donnie is thought to be pivoting towards supporting his mate, President Milei, in retaliation for the UK not supporting the war with Iran.

It’ll be interesting if Trump brownosers the DT and Express carry on or stick up for our veterans. Not as if Trump Bone Spurs hadn't had a pop at the Afghan vets. Mail has become more cynical about him so less of a pivot. Problem for Reform if Trump and most likely Hegseth and Vance (who are driving it) go down this line with public opinion which is already sliding away.

I think we're all looking at his little outbursts like this the wrong way.  If I'm Andy Burnham I'm thinking this is an absolute gift and all I need to do is have a little pop back, reassert our stance and act a bit tough.  Instant surge in approval ratings.  Might put Trump out a bit but the stupid fucker changes his mind so often that it'll make no difference whatsoever anyway.

Newly installed on the National Mall in DC, the Iran War Participation Trophy

image.jpeg.a6a40deaee2ba2ca49ced30dde629241.jpeg

"We hereby award President Donald J. Trump this participation trophy for his enthusiastic involvement in the Iran war. While some concern themselves with military strategy, diplomacy, or measurable outcomes, President Trump demonstrated the courage to participate regardless of the final score.”

“As the recipient of this prestigious award, President Trump joins the ranks of children everywhere who received recognition for simply showing up,”

"We join you in celebrating this remarkable achievement".

Being a Trump whisperer didn’t exactly help Starmer domestically in a political sense although it did help the UK’s interests when Trump was re-elected and had momentum.

The Iran war has hurt Trump and he’s banging on about election fraud yet again without evidence because he knows one or both of the houses are going Dem in November (probably Congress).

I wouldn’t needlessly pick a fight with him but if he wants to back his populist puppet Milie (beyond the huge sums of US taxpayers funds he’s already gambled on him) on the Falklands then a robust form of fuck off will go down well.

I've a good bottle of English sparkling ready for when the junk food finally does him in..

Vile comment.

You would never hear Trump wishing any harm to his former 'best mates' or immigrants or heads of other countries etc etc .

It wasn’t the best but then Trump has called Mexico rapists, advocated sexually assaulting women, and been convicted of harassing one in a civil case, losing his case for $5m damages. We could list all of thousands of other revolting comments and things he’s done such as having bravery and service awards from black GIs replaced by EDI hire on their online distinguished profiles.

Any reasonable human being will agree that’s worse than anything Sue’s just posted.

Oh, and btw, ‘left’ in this instances covers pretty much the entire Conservative, Liberal Democrat parties, let alone Labour, Green, SNP, PC etc. Only Reform UK voters have a positive view of Trump but even then given their leader is a Mini Me, only just over half and there’s at least 40% who regard him as a complete dickhead in polling.

Rupert Lowe thinks he’s brilliant - not I’d suggest an alignment you want to making as a Saints fan. Remember 04/05 and 08/09.

He's a thieving, lying, rapist who has caused misery to people his whole life. I'll be pleased when he's dead.

He wasn't convicted of "harassing" someone. He was found to have forced his fingers inside her against her will.

In a civil court with a lower threshold for proof. (Not saying the fat ginger cunt didn't do it, just highlighting that there wasn't enough proof for criminal charges. Sadly).

Let’s use the court’s official term - sexual abuse and defamation https://www.scotusblog.com/2026/07/carroll-receives-payment-from-trump/

He’s finally had to pay up from his cryptogrifting for the $5.6m, but still stalling on the $83m aided by corrupt Justice Dept officials and trying to get his judges on the SC to help (they’ve proved rather less compliant that he hoped thus far on several other issues) https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-e-jean-carroll-lawsuit-payment-b3018969.html

The specifics were that he forced his fingers inside her without her consent. Under the specific New York statute relevant to the civil case it is only "rape" if you use your dick. Incidentally the victim said he did do that, but for whatever reason the jury didn't go that far.

But he has been found, on the balance of probabilities, to have forced his hand up a woman against her will.

When she said he had raped her, he sued her for defamation and lost.

The judge in that case said,

"The jury … was instructed that it could find that Mr Trump ‘raped’ Ms Carroll only if it found that he forcibly penetrated Ms Carroll’s vagina with his penis.

It could not find that he ‘raped’ her if it determined that Mr Trump forcibly penetrated Ms Carroll’s private sexual parts with his fingers – which commonly is considered ‘rape’ in other contexts – because the New York penal law definition of rape is limited to penile penetration

As the court explained in its recent decision denying Mr Trump’s motion for a new trial on damages and other relief [in the New York case] … based on all of the evidence at trial and the jury’s verdict as a whole, the jury’s finding that Mr Trump ‘sexually abused’ Ms Carroll implicitly determined that he forcibly penetrated her digitally – in other words, that Mr Trump in fact did ‘rape’ Ms Carroll as that term commonly is used and understood in contexts outside of the New York penal law."
