That worries me, have they not realised we are in a relegation struggle before now? I would have said it was a fight since the start of the season due to the level of our squad and at VERY latest recognised it was a fight since after the first Reading match

david in sweden Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 (edited) whereas he doesn't speak the Queens English, JP always appears with fighting talk and he hasn't once blamed Rupert Lowe for dealing him the sh*tty hand that he's forced to play........turning the Academy lads into a CCC first team in ONE SEASON. I'm sure he likes the challenge but the home form has really screwed him, whereas our away form is as good as any mid table side. There are other teams in this league who have far more experienced squads than we have, who aren't performing much better than we are. No-one can deny that the absence of Svensson in the back line is surely the reason for defensive lapses, and the fact we had three "class strikers " who went out and loan and didn't perform any better than the lads we used up front is also not gone unnoticed. Thank God Davis is in such good form otherwise we'd be below Charlton. For better or wor*e, I think we'll stick with JP and the same coaching structure, and expect Rupert Lowe to find SOME funds (from somewhere) to find us another striker and more cover at the back. Meantime SURVIVAL this season (given all the above,) would be a real achievement and I would give JP a special medel if he achieves it , 'cos he will have "achieved more" in relative terms in creating THIS team, than would Alex Ferguson - if Man U win the Prem. JohnnyFartPants Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Make no mistake, he will be one bad game away from the sack. Not one loss, if they play well, but one loss coupled with a poor performance.
The Godfather Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 What a load nonsense, we all had a good talk blah, blah, blah. Well that solves everything then, watch out for the instant change of results and still playing one up front and little or no idea on tactics. Greenridge Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 The only resigning going on seems to be the Club resigning itself to League 1. There doesn't appear to be even the slightest hint that JP can turn things around.
saint lard Posted 20 January, 2009 Share Posted 20 January, 2009 Lowe had two options, give us the chance to save the season or save face. He chose the latter. Git.

THIS has nothing to do with the sh*tty cards he has been dealt, it is about playing players on the wrong wing dragging all 11 back not playing his best players weird substutions trying to play at home like we do away bringing in the youth of other ccc sides and then not playing them.
