£42m fixed fee, with £6m add-ons. 20% sell on.

So pretty much what we wanted all in.

Think we've pretty much pulled their pants down with this deal for a 19 year old who is more potential than finished article. Guess we'll see over the next couple of seasons. Good business for us as far as I'm concerned.

If he reaches his potential, he gets sold to a big club for £100m and we get an extra £12m. If he does badly, we’ve made a killing.

Looks to be a good deal. Reinvest wisely and we’ve done well.

Pretty good deal to be fair, credit where it’s due to the club for that one.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on…  hope for his sake he kicks on now and fulfils his potential. Going to be a lot of pressure on him early with that fee.

Lets hope we spend it wisely (for a change).

Sky say it is a £42m package including £6m of add ons and 20% sell on

£36m plus £6m is £42m

So not £48m

But they have bought potential. Tyler is 19 and yes, he has bags of natural ability but remains to be seen how good he will become. I'm delighted with £42m including add-ons and a good sell on agreement.

I suspect that his next move will be for more than £42m

Good work by us, Everton backed down on the add ons and sell-on clause, and chucked a couple of extra mill on top. Can't argue with that, especially for a player who hasn't had a good game in the last 10 months or so.

Hopefully now we just spend it wisely...

How do you feel about your club caving in in the end?

Decent fee. Good sell on if he reaches his potential.

Can't really feel anything about this. Quite emotionless, as 'young Saints star being sold to bigger club' stories go.

He didnt really do much for us in a first team sense.

See you later!

The kid was home sick and struggling to settle an hour and a half up the road in London. Good luck.

Too much gets made of this. Suspect this was an tune played to get out of Chelsea having realised they were signing 500 players, and he would never ever play a meaningful game.

I am sure he will be fine in Liverpool, earning a fuck-load of money

Not going to be easy for the lad because now he has the added pressure of a huge price tag round his neck so the Everton fans (not known for their patience) will expect to see instantly exactly what they've spent £42m on. I wish Tyler luck and, if he does well, we'll get the chunk of sell-on money.

I’m still sure that Fernandes is likely to leave, but we have absolutely no financial need to do so now.

£50m+ or fck off.

Keeping Fernandes is key to our promotion hopes.

If the board dare sell him to the 'ammers I'll not step back foot in the ground.

Is it 20% of sale fee, or 20% of profit? Makes a huge difference in reality, and these details are important.

I agree.  I'm really puzzled as to why Dibling is so much more attractive proposition than Fernandez.  At least Mateus had a really decent prem season and showed he's not just potentially a great player but has had an excellent season in the Prem.  Dibling is a really good deal for us at multiple levels including that he'll move into the last year of his contract at the end of the season so his value will plummet.  Fernandez still has another 4 years on a reported £20k a week so there's good reason to keep him and is about the only player we have left of prem quality.

Because dibling showed as an 18year old that he can boss or beat some of the best defenders in the league for fun, and they had no clue whether to stand off him or close him down. The potential with him is immense - the gamble will be whether he achieves it.

Great piece of business for the club.

A player with good potential but hasn’t lit the world up yet necessarily.

I just hope he gets his head down and knuckles down, firstly because of homesickness (his previous move away), and secondly because if he doesn’t perform those fans from Merseyside will be on his back immediately

If West Ham struggle tonight they'll be back in with a higher offer for Fernandes that's for sure.

So the club has sold a talented young player for big money,  which is our club’s plan to move forward. That said please for the love of god can we add to the starting 11 and not more bloody squad fillers that contribute nothing but frustrating cameos and are hard to shift later. 1-2 quality players rather than 3-5 substandard replacements

True prem defenders learn quite quickly you know. Second season syndrome could be just around the corner. I hope for his sake that it isn’t but you never know.

Fair price and good sell on fee.

Thank you Tyler, hopefully (as far as Everton are concerned) his previous issues with moving away from home are a thing of the past.

Could the Toffees have spent huge money on the next Joey Beauchamp?

Dibling has potential to be 5x the player Fernandes is but right now thats just potential.

I would have loved Dibblers to stay but he threw the towel in 2nd half of last season and wanted out. For that alone we needed to have got rid as soon as Everton made their first bid.

According to journalists we went cap in hand to EFC after they had walked away from the deal, in which thankfully they went through with the deal.

Unfortunately clubs will now know we have cash on the hip and will have us over pay for our own targets. A spectacular cock up from this useless board of ours.

The only thing going in their favour is keeping hold of Fernandes.

Hugely disappointed TD looks set for Everton. Yes like some i personally believe he has been very poorly advised BUT as far as Saints go its a decent fee and the emergence of Robinson definately makes this transfer easier to swallow. Everton have buckled massively and this is a panic buy. I really wish him well but i very much fear he is making a huge mistake (finances aside)
