Watching the realisation slowly sink in is going to be hilarious

Sweepstake for the first comment on their boards along the lines of ‘It wasn’t a clanger, but does anyone feel like maybe he should have got to that one?’ followed by 2 seasons of some nutter in denial insisting that every single shot he faced was completely unstoppable actually

And other Bolton fans saying he was never going to do well at Southampton after having played for Portsmouth 😀

Perhaps their theory is that he buggered  his wrists at bell 🔔 ringing practice with TCWAB

Looking forward to his return in the home fixture , to say a proper goodbye.  but have seen it’s 17th October so won’t be able to…. He’ll be dropped by then ☹️

Bolton have always had a blind spot with keepers.

I remember they had some permed midget in goal for an FA cup game under the lights at the Dell in the early 90s and Barry Horne lobbed him from about 35 yards to equalise in the last minute and take it to extra time. Pitch invasion, absolute scenes

Then he scored again in ET to win it

Edit: found it

This one from Adam Blackmore in July aged well

😂

Never forget that Blackmore once tweeted this.

I’ve spent a good while in bed this morning going back through this thread, there’s actually a lot of golden posts throughout. Some people called it straight away, some people took a bit of time, and some - Pingpong - refused to have a bid word said against him. Page 9 is where any early optimism starts to unravel.

If someone asked me to name one signing that summed up the less than impressive ownership of Sport Republic it’d be this bloke. The way he was signed on a fairly big fee and thrust straight into the first team and was basically undroppable was ridiculous, and I’ll never be convinced him being picked wasn’t some sort of instruction from someone above the coaching team.

So glad we never have to see him in a Saints shirt again.

Surprised Man City didn’t activate their buy back clause 😂.

The fact City would’ve had to be notified prior to Bolton signing him asking if they want to exercise their option to buy back is hilarious.

Imagine the City officials reaction! 😂

The laughs, the bewilderment etc 🤣

Knowing our luck our next manager will sign him back again.

Bolton paid the price for leaving their new keeper on the bench today.

If their current first choice makes mistakes, I'm sure Baz will grasp his opportunity with both hands....ah, maybe not...

I do wish him all the best.

Bolton lost 4-0 yesterday with their keeper making a howler. Baz might get his chance to save them

Out of the frying pan into the burning red hot furnace springs to mind.

Remember Baz only gets beaten by worldies and back luck, his luck has got to change sometime

Only 1 howler. If Baz is the alternative , only one howler a game makes you pretty much undroppable

I'm still waiting for a single video example of a baz howler during his time with us.

By all means criticise his agility, ability to get low or reaction speed - but his handling and distribution were very good, and he made no notable "howlers" whilst at saints.

This cannot be a serious comment surely.

That’s five easily, without really trying. Plenty more we can dig up.

92 games, I'd say the dig would likely unearth around 61.5 'moments'.

Of course it is serious. All of the goals Baz let in were worldies.

That old chestnut again. It all derives from a comment by one poster. Just one. Yet we keep getting silly references to it. That's so childish.
