If anyone from SR is reading, don’t worry, you can still make your money back on him.

Just put £10k on both sides to score each game

I’ll explain it again, just in case.

He is not at fault for our porous defence but he offers absolutely nothing once it’s breached and doesn’t save ANYTHING.

If he does, he either pushes it out into danger or it still goes in. Most of the time though, it’ll fly past him and he dives afterwards. Or my personal favourite, he’s so far out positionally that he gives himself even less of a chance of saving it.

He has zero presence at set pieces and panics the defence with his chaos and flapping, or outright fear from moving from his line.

He is utter shite.

And no, him passing the ball between himself and the centre halves don’t constitute ‘importance to the build up’.

Won’t be difficult to find someone better than him in January.

You could find someone with more ability in the Commercial Houses league.

He is fucking shite and Eckert is a fucking prick for selecting him.

I turned over at HT, was the second goal his fault? First one was more Jack than anyone else plus a very clean strike.

Romeu didn't stop the break, as his legs are long gone tbf, but Bazunu's 'attempt' at even trying to save it was non-league.

He should have got to both goals today, he cannot save shots on target. I see that with my eyes, but also the stats back it up fairly heavily. (although we have to ignore stats apparently).

I actually hate the bloke. He might be a nice lad, but I despise his name when I see it on the team sheet. All he has done is bring me pure misery for 4 years every single week.

The first one, I’d have liked to see him come and claim the ball before the second header. Jack didn’t jump,  but he didn’t react and THB’s header was only  on the edge of the 6 yard box. Should he have saved the subsequent shot, maybe not, but I’d file it in the “could he have done better” category. When is he actually going to save one of these?

Second one, poor defending, but he made it easy for the bloke with poor positioning & another weak, nothing drive. Never in doubt it was going in.

As I said on match thread, imo , some championship keepers save the first, and most save the second. If we swapped keepers over, Baz lets in the Armstrong effort….

Cheers, Oxford were causing a lot of issues on the counter first half and really ought to have scored with a couple more, especially on HT 8 yards out with clear sight of goal.

First one the visibility wasn’t good through the bodies but it reminded me of a Ryan Harley shot with similar venom through a crowded area at Exeter 2011 where Kelvin made an excellent late save and Rickie did the business up the other end. Gavin’s wrists are dreadful for a goalkeeper.

I don’t hate him, or Tonda, or any of their other vanity windows for SR’s madness but I do properly hate Ankerson with a passion and Dragan as well. Bazunu and Eckhert are just visual metaphors for SR shittiness in the same way the Austin Allegro was a metaphor for the death of the British Car industry at scale.

British Leyland and SR - a lot of similarities.

"Everyone" is stretching the term more than a little. A few posters on here I'll grant you but hardly reaching double figures. That leaves many tens of others who we don't hear from.

Which stats are these, by the way? Goalkeepers are impossible to quantify objectively. Every other goalkeeper that I see in several leagues seems much the same.

Oh. And a Merry Christmas to you too!

Happy with his efforts today? 2 more unsaveable shots no doubt. Quite simply the worst keeper in the league,

In a one on one situation, it's the keeper's singular responsibility to make the goal look as small as possible to the attacking player.

Baz does the opposite. He is so slow to come out and close down the angles, and his starting position is always suspect.

Combine all that with his total inability to save anything low to his left, and you just know instantly when a player gets through like that we will concede.

Every. Single. Time.

I watched the Brum v Derby lunchtime game and the Derby keeper was very sound, and the commentators were saying that’s typical for him. Bet he wasn’t £14m or something absurd from City’s academy….

Edit - £2m or around that level https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/derby-county-struck-gold-with-jacob-zetterstrom-wolves-brentford-wanted-him/

Solak can afford that and pay off Bazunu’s final year. McCarthy out of contract in the summer and Ramsdale will be off. Just sort it out you useless pricks.

For me I’d go as far as to say Eckert should be worrying for his job, for straight away putting this useless prick back in goal as the first thing he changed. Makes me laugh that one of the only good things Will Still did as manager in dropping Bazunu, was immediately reversed by tonda. Couldn’t make it up with this fucking club, you really couldn’t

I wouldn’t be surprised if he (Rasmus) sacked Still for dropping Bazunu more than the results and performances.

The same useless pricks that gave Stephens a new contract? Yeah, they’ll sort it out by giving Baz a shiny new one… 4 more years! 4 more years!

Spot on analysis. Our defending for the 2nd especially is woeful, but the bottom line is he might as well not be there, he’s pointless.

His presence in the team ruins every game for me. It’s fucking baffling how this is being enabled.

Absolutely imperative to our build up play is the latest mental reasoning.

Receiving goal kicks from about 2 yards is vital

Anyone at all??

@Smirking_Saint said he’d put his hand up at Christmas if Gavin still was nowhere good enough. Poor SS has probably got PTSD if he went today judging by the crap I saw first half.

As has been said before, anyone defending Bazunu’s continued selection because “he’s good with his feet”, is akin to wanting Damion Downs starting up front because he takes good quick throw ins. Mental.

He’s about as helpful with his feet and hands as Mr Methane is with his bowels and arse. At least Paul Oldfield is vaguely entertaining. Actually, he’d better value than a light show when the parachute payments run out.

The sad part of this is, he’s probably a decent bloke, but I absolutely hate the bloke with a passion now for being a regular catalyst of our recent decline and being right at the heart of it with his total ineptitude. I can’t even stand the sight of his face now

After todays game Baz is now last for shot-stopping this season (5+ games, PSxG).

He’s been last in every league he’s played in. That isn’t bad luck - that’s a pattern. He’d be the worst keeper in League One and Two.

What’s truly insane about Baz is that it doesn’t matter how you filter the data – long passing completion%, sweeper actions, crosses, goal kicks – he is bottom of the chart in every single category.

He's a liability. I'll assume we won't get anyone in that early in January so we still have three more league games to endure, but when we play Hull, a new keeper is essential, we need someone ready to come in immediately.

It's not happening. He's still going to be in goal for the last game of yet another shit show of a season
