Absolutely, the signings were not good. They have a decent record of that, hence why we changed the structure. At the moment Spors doesn't looked to have improved it, but the window is still open for a while.

Clearly Spertseyen or however you spell it was the first choice to soften the blow of Dibling, and you can't really blame the club for how that turned out.  Crazy scenario visible only to those with 20:20 hindsight.

Signing people is much harder than it appears to us fans, there's agents, managers, preferences and many, many other things in the mix.  That's something the guys are Wrexham can dangle - a bit of Netflix exposure to help your brand seals.

I haven’t been enjoying the matches for some time even on TV/streams and stopped going in person having been a long time STH. Wrexham was an exciting finish but not a good performance. If they can’t bring in some eye catching players worth watching for this level by COP Friday and it’s still 5 at the back, I may well be taking a break for a while from football as Cheltenham are grim as well.

Signing players isn't as easy as it sounds on FM, 100% - that's why we've appointed analysts, scouts, and highly paid DoF's to use their expertise to navigate the murky world of football transfers.

If it was as truly difficult as others make out, no clubs would ever sign players.

It's the same as the excuse ''We'll only sign players if they improve us'' - it's weak nonsense. If they can't find better than the poor players already in the squad then they're not very good at their job.

I remember MLG saying it was perfectly fine, you know, signing a players from our sister club of an underserved massive fee.

Azaz will sign in the next few days. We will get a winger or two on loan from the prem and maybe a Smallbone replacement and that will be it. I'd be pretty disappointed with that, especially when Fernandes goes by the end of the week.

Anybody who lets a football team seriously affect their day to day, needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. 

I hope if you do take a break you find a way to enjoy it when we're good, and shrug when we're bad. There are far more important things in life, and it's why I find the ridiculous reactions on this forum such a sad state of affairs.

Course he said it was okay, he’s programmed to back up the club whatever they do

it was a dodgy as fuck deal, one of the highest transfer fees ever for a 3rd tier French club. You can build a quality team with £5m in the French 3rd division, get them promoted and increase their value and therefore the value of the overall group. 
 

it’s seems like the other clubs in the group are doing very well out of it, money coming and and plenty of players signed by us and loaned or sold to them. 
 

We have had lots of benefits though just no one can think of any

• 11 gone (sold, loan ended or contract ended)
• 7 out on loan.

So, even before we bring anyone else in, the first team squad is still 27 (not counting Ballard and Sesay).

Plenty of work to do (Edozie, Aribo, Smallbone, ??, ??, ??) to make room for incomings.

Aribo, Suga, Edozie, ABK will also be off. Fernandes won't currently. We want two wingers and an attacking mid. Loans are last, last, last resort for first team players.

Enjoyed it very much 09-17, great times, matches, atmospheres and it’s a bit like gambling I guess, once the fun stops, take a break. I don’t even mind us being bad, we all laughed at Claus’s OG at Goodison in the away end in 99. We’ve all got stories about away hammerings in the 90s…and find them funny. 🤣 

It’s the slowness, the lack of energy, the lack of purpose on display. I lose concentration after a few minutes watching us, tuck into a book and then something finally happens and I look up again. It’s boredom. WGS teams were not the best technically but I always was glued to them from my seat in the Kingsland because they were always at teams. Ditto Nigel, Poch, Ronald. 

Maybe it’ll get better but it’s been on a long cycle now. Even 05-09, there were moments and pockets of hope, little cameos from Lallana, Stern John, Saganowski.

Azaz is indeed what I would call a good signing but he's about what I'd expect us to sign so nothing extraordinarily impressive about it.
