Saint NL Posted Saturday at 10:57 Posted Saturday at 10:57 Just watching the info about the rule changes for this year. Let's see how many weeks this 8 seconds rule lasts for the keepers. I bet it's not enforced by Christmas. 2
AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 10:59 Posted Saturday at 10:59 the 8 second rule clearly won't apply at Anfield or the Etihad... 4

Would rather see Wood in for Stephens and Downs in for Fraser but hey ho. In still we trust. It’s also a clear indication that we are still prioritising money and player trading over results on the pitch . . we might as well go and support Lloyds bank 1 3 1
Kermitzasaint Posted Saturday at 11:01 Posted Saturday at 11:01 I know the championship is an absolutely abysmal league but this line up is hugely underwhelming. 1

saintant Posted Saturday at 11:08 Posted Saturday at 11:08 Lewis O'Brien will need watching because if we give him space he has the ability to run the midfield. Was a bit disappointed we didn't sign him. 1
Holmes_and_Watson Posted Saturday at 11:09 Posted Saturday at 11:09 The defence and midfield isn't any surprise. Like everyone else, AA centrally hasn't worked before. Perhaps this will be different or Still will just be the latest to give him a try there, before putting him wider. Fraser vanished from proceedings last season. Hopefully Still has him back to when he joined us. If nothing else, I'm just looking forward to seeing us more proactive in games and having the fitness to do that at a decent pace.

M271 Posted Saturday at 11:10 Posted Saturday at 11:10 Come on Saints, it’s not just about today’s result but setting the scene and gaining confidence for the season ahead. 2
V.Johnathan.Wilson Posted Saturday at 11:10 Posted Saturday at 11:10 Fernandes on the bench I expected, played very few minutes in pre-season. I don't think its an indicator to me that he's off yet. If he isn't subbed on until late or at all then perhaps there's more to it.

Willo of Whiteley Posted Saturday at 11:12 Posted Saturday at 11:12 It’s a very weak team. This could be goals galore, Wrexham will come for a fight 1
hypochondriac Posted Saturday at 11:12 Posted Saturday at 11:12 I'm amazed we haven't played one of Archer or Downs or even Stewart. Will be very interesting to see how this works out. 2

Suhari Posted Saturday at 11:14 Posted Saturday at 11:14 Really looking forward to this. Will be great to get a first proper look at Edwards, Robinson and Quarahie. And the 'improved' Charles.

It’s a very strong championship team and good options off the bench. Stephens, Frazer not ideal obviously but still can do a job at this level. I’d fully expect us to bring in some extra quality going wide and midfield but that defence, midfield look good, 3 on the bench who could start and with Baz cooking in goal it’s decent 3
hypochondriac Posted Saturday at 11:15 Posted Saturday at 11:15 Sky Sports going for a rather novel prediction for our lineup. I know Still is a bit of a maverick but I'm not sure he's been hit in the head with a brick. 6

He has missed training. That is why he is only on the bench. 1 1

Their first XI looks solid and competitive for this level, albeit we should have a bit too much still, but their bench is either untested or over the hill compared to ours which is very strong for this level. Yep, you could make a case for any of them on the bench to start. Stewart, Archer, Downs and BBD are very strong options off the bench up top, surely we will sell at least one and Wood, Manning could have started. Fernandes would probably be the best player in the league but obviously he’s gonna go 1
