saintoaks Posted yesterday at 16:28 Posted yesterday at 16:28 Portsmouth away tickets on sale from Thursday December 11 at 9:30am to season ticket holders with 17+ aways since 2024/24 campaign. No surprises there then, 17 aways is low to start with maybe ?. £55 including the coach. UTS
Noodles34 Posted yesterday at 16:46 Posted yesterday at 16:46 I guess they work out how many tickets they have and how to shift the most in just a few days. No point in having 2500 and then setting the bar at 25 always which only 500 qualify for. I got 21 so thats me sorted.
Football Special Posted yesterday at 16:56 Posted yesterday at 16:56 Honestly not sure I can be fucking bothered getting down to St Mary's at 7am on a sunday morning to sit on a bus , it's a joke 3
Football Special Posted yesterday at 16:57 Posted yesterday at 16:57 https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/ticket-and-travel-information-portsmouth-a All the details on here
franniesTache Posted yesterday at 16:58 Posted yesterday at 16:58 absolute fucking pisstake of requirements, 7am start at the ground, be there probably before 10am to stand around and do nothing, forced to use coaches, and looks like they're going to try and force people in the blocks nearest the home ends to sit. Complete fucking shit and ruined what should be the best away day of the season. I can't believe our own fans said this was a good thing, noddy fucking pricks. 3
LGTL Posted yesterday at 16:59 Posted yesterday at 16:59 In the top bracket so can’t moan, but it does seem slightly on the low side. As mentioned above though, what an absolute mess of a trip and I wouldn’t blame anyone who can’t be arsed. Wankers have turned the best away day in to the absolute worst. Trying to think back to the game in 2011, no way did we have to board the buses at 7am. Was more like 9/10. Fucking ridiculous. 2

"The club realises this may inconvenience some supporters, but it is necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable matchday for all." I don't want it to be safe, half the fun of Pompey away is it isnt fucking safe , thats the bit we look forward to ffs 7 1
The Wyvern Posted yesterday at 17:10 Posted yesterday at 17:10 Even if it has to be a bubble surely it can be better managed than that and the club and authorities can do a lot to make it a more enjoyable normal experience than this. That said, easy to sneak booze onto these buses last time.

Also nothing ever actually fucking happens these days anyway, it's not like the days of Alan Knight's testimonial, a few gap toothed yokels stand around and make noises and you get into the ground late. They should've just let us had the choice of coach or train and those noddies that wanted the safety of the coach could've done it, and those of us who wanted to laugh at the yokels could've had our day out too. 4

The early arrival at Fratton is a good point, I'm told when skates came to us in September they were allowed to buy beers and take them out into a fenced off area, apparently spent the most of any away following we've had so club were probably happy to take the £ Facilities aren't quite the same at Fratton, don't think they sold beer last time we went, not that I want to spend anything there

Failure to do so might result in more violent wig robberies and social media banter when the two fanbases meet, and that really would be terrible 🤯. Edited yesterday at 17:26 by Saint86 2
LGTL Posted yesterday at 17:26 Posted yesterday at 17:26 Interesting too that they had 3 different pick up points but we’re religiously sticking with one. Seems stupid that they couldn’t have a pick up on the East and West side of the city too, but that would mean the club trying to actually help us out. 1

Let's assume most of our fans don't live walking distance from St Mary's, and public transport is virtually non-existent that time on a Sunday, going to be a lot of taxis being booked to St Mary's first thing, don't think first bus where I live runs until 9am into town
bangkoksaint Posted yesterday at 17:49 Posted yesterday at 17:49 Hope the club aren’t missing the opportunity to rinse the supporters to park their cars at SMS? Those that go to this and endure what’s required should have their tickets paid for by the Club. Unfortunately good PR isn’t something we do. 1
DJ_TOAST Posted yesterday at 18:44 Posted yesterday at 18:44 Wtf is up with no food or drink on the coaches. So are we all supposed to go hungry and thirsty all day. Their shit hole stadium and little facilities won't be able to cope with 2000+ hungry and thirsty fans. Can understand unsealed drinks, but what's the problem with sealed drinks and some food. At least water ffs, how can they deny people taking water for the trip) Will barely have time for breakfast with how early we have to be there. and why do we have to be there 2-3 hours early. Absolute piss take. 2
EssEffCee Posted yesterday at 19:10 Posted yesterday at 19:10 So we have to be there 5 hours before KO to get a coach which we're being charged more for than they were. And I can't even take a bottle of water on the coach. I also have to get a taxi to the ground because we're not allowed to park there, and presumably this means taxis will be fucking nightmare that morning. Oh and they want a chunk of the away end to sit? Yeah good luck with that one. Thought of this game was what kept me going last season and I'm comfortably in the first window but am questioning whether or not I can be arsed now.
Saint_clark Posted yesterday at 19:24 Posted yesterday at 19:24 Those are some absolutely absurd requirements. 7am FFS. 1
die Mannyschaft Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Will this get down to 8 aways? I'm hoping lots of fans decide its too much hassle and won't go on bubble coach
The Wyvern Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago What has the Fan Advisory Board had to say on the matter? Surely the club asked them for their input? 2

EssEffCee Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 4 hours ago, The Wyvern said: What has the Fan Advisory Board had to say on the matter? Surely the club asked them for their input? It's probably at least partially their input which has caused this. Best thing we can hope for now is a big bit of a cold weather causing the pitch to freeze and a postponement.
Thripp87 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Couldn’t be paid to go to this game with the shite being enforced on us. 7am at the stadium when I live east of Southampton is ridiculous, then to be told I can’t park at the stadium. Completely ruined the best away game of the season. I will stick to dining out on being there for the 0-4 in 2019 when I could travel as I pleased. 1

Appy Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I’m sure when I got the bus in 2011 it was provided for the club at no extra cost? £20 is bloody mental. 1

Yep a great day, but now I dont want to see my grand daughter and famillies with their kids being terrified by that lot. I suggest that people dont take their young with them, its sad but a fact. The hatred is something you dont want young kids to face. The adrenaline of those days are quite something and 84 was one of thebest feelings ever, a privilage to have been there 1
suewhistle Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Last time I was at Fratton was in September 2013 for England Women v Turkey and not an experience I particularly want to repeat. The loos were appalling and a seat collapsed under a team-mate, and she wasn't big by any means. The previous time was Alan Knight's testimonial and dodging lumps of concrete chucked over the wall and then kept in for an hour. I persuaded a nice policeman that NO, didn't want an escort to the station as I live in the opposite direction and had my car, so I just smiled sweetly and went off down a back alley towards to my car. This time it's on Sky so I shall go down my local village pub for the full on Pompey experience. The regulars are fine and we have some banter, but it's the occasionals that might be an issue, but probably not.. I have to say that if what I've read on this thread is all true it seems designed to alienate the fans and cause so much resentment and frustration that it could cause problems.

LGTL Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I heard similar. For once, we can’t actually lay the blame of this pathetic bubble at the police. They were happy with similar arrangements to the cup game but the club, ably supported by the poxy advisory boards, pushed the bubble. 1 1

Chez Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) 6 hours ago, LGTL said: I’d say some of these militant requirements are as a direct result of asking the chumps on the advisory board. SFC presented the plan to the fan advisory board in the meeting in June and they were happy with it. That sounds like a decision had been made by the club in advance to me. However, there was a separate meeting between SFC safety officer, police and fans from both clubs. Not sure who (which Saints fans attended this meeting). I suspect not many of the fans advisory board have had to suffer a bubble before. Its a shame there wasn't a representative of the Football Supporters Association as part of the discussions, as they campaigned against bubbles around the time of the last one we had. Looking at the minutes of that meeting, the advisory board asked if multiple stops and they SFC safety officer said 'yes', but this obviously hasn't happened. The no parking at the stadium seems to be down to the number of coaches. Edited 6 hours ago by Chez

Graffito Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I didn’t go the last time there was a bubble and I won’t be going this time. In the past, I’ve been there by train or occasionally driven; parked the car, walked to the ground, walked back, never a problem. I object to the insinuation that I can’t be trusted to make my own way to a sodding football match or can’t behave myself.
warsash saint Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) To be honest the bubble for last league game was fine - great atmosphere on the bus especially going down the Eastern Road & the chucking of bottles of 'coke' at the joggers. No pick up points at Bursledon this time is a right pisser though Edited 4 hours ago by warsash saint
