Patches O Houlihan Posted Saturday at 12:33 Posted Saturday at 12:33 Who the f..k are these one eyed muppets on comms?!!
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 12:36 Posted Saturday at 12:36 Cov forgot to bring their away kit so we let them use some of our old training tops we had lying in storage. 1
BotleySaint Posted Saturday at 12:36 Posted Saturday at 12:36 Literally asking for trouble at the moment. Backwards sideways.. 1
obelisk Posted Saturday at 12:37 Posted Saturday at 12:37 Coventry pressing well against Saints fannying around at the back. Saints yet to get within 30 yards of the Coventry goal.
RedArmy Posted Saturday at 12:37 Posted Saturday at 12:37 Have they not done their research on Bazunu? If he smashes that near post it’s a goal.
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 So we're still just trying to use our one and only tactic then. And Baz's first attempt at a mid length bal goes straight out of play under no pressure. 1
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 Quarshie has had the most touches so far, I think we'd all prefer THB on the ball rather than him
saint michael Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 As an attacker I would so love to play against our defence 1
Saint_clark Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 How the hell did Downes not intercept that pass through then, just completely static watching the play.
SouSaint Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 Let off there. Pissing around with it at the back and failing to deal with their press.
BotleySaint Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 Cut through easily. Defence nowhere. Awful start. Need someone to drop in the gap between midfield.
Kermitzasaint Posted Saturday at 12:38 Posted Saturday at 12:38 (edited) Utterly shit . Going full Russell Martin so far Edited Saturday at 12:39 by Kermitzasaint 1
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 12:39 Posted Saturday at 12:39 How is that not a yellow for that wild challenge on Manning? 1
John Boy Saint Posted Saturday at 12:39 Posted Saturday at 12:39 Need to switch from faffing about at the back Coventry so far are too good for us to be playing that game - we panic it out and straight back it comes at us 2
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 12:39 Posted Saturday at 12:39 Arma never looked liked scoring there, ball was stuck under his feet

Saint NL Posted Saturday at 12:42 Posted Saturday at 12:42 We're playing like it's the second half already 1 1
Gloucester Saint Posted Saturday at 12:42 Posted Saturday at 12:42 Atrocious so far, reheated Martinball. 1

Could be embarrassing today. 1
sockeye Posted Saturday at 12:43 Posted Saturday at 12:43 We seem to have time-travelled back to 2023. 1
Saint_clark Posted Saturday at 12:44 Posted Saturday at 12:44 I would have thought Manning at RWB would have been better than Welington to be honest, at least he's match sharp and has shown he can cut inside and get a good shot away. Welington being thrown back into the team on the wrong side is just asking for him to be awkward and uncomfortable. 1

RedArmy Posted Saturday at 12:45 Posted Saturday at 12:45 Looking like a Will Still team again today. 1
Challenger Posted Saturday at 12:45 Posted Saturday at 12:45 The lack of a target man and the ability to try something different is so blatantly obvious. 1

I see people criticising "return to Martinball" but in all honesty there is no point in going long today, they are too big and powerful at the back.
Sheaf Saint Posted Saturday at 12:47 Posted Saturday at 12:47 I know it's a lunchtime game right before Xmas, but the atmosphere sounds terrible.

AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 12:49 Posted Saturday at 12:49 I see we are trying to do absolutely nothing different
Turkish Posted Saturday at 12:49 Posted Saturday at 12:49 Got one on one now twice and fluffed it need to take these chances 1
obelisk Posted Saturday at 12:49 Posted Saturday at 12:49 Coventry have a decent 'keeper. Saves well from Leo.

Could stretch them via the channels though, doesn’t have to be diagonals straight at their CBs. This ponderous, plodding shit just fuels their press and proving very effective for Coventry. 1

They just said comfortable save for Bazunu. Don’t they know that EVERY shot he faces is world class and placed perfectly. No such thing as a comfortable save for him! 😂

Mr X Posted Saturday at 12:49 Posted Saturday at 12:49 It's clear so far Coventry are a well organised dangerous side, if we can contain them for a while we have a chance but we are far to passive recently
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 12:49 Posted Saturday at 12:49 We've been mostly shit, but had two clear cut chances so far.... 1

Coventry are dominating because they started the game right up for it. If we can keep them out until they settle down we might be able to try a few different things, right now it's just about frustrating them. Just now, Sheaf Saint said: They've got both their first choice CBs our though. That's something that we really should be exploiting, but obviously won't be. Doesn't mean they're not any good. Their backup CBs are almost certainly better than our first choice.
