Sideways and backwards everywhere we go, Sideways and backwards everywhere we go, Everywhere we gooooo…

Nearly 24 hours on, the thing that strikes me most about that game is not that people watching were angry, it’s that they were so fucking bored.
Boring, passionless, predictable, uninspiring football. The last three games I’ve seen - Oxford away, Millwall at home and yesterday’s yawnfest - have all been dreadful.

I don’t just blame Tonda. I blame Guardiola, I blame all the analysts with laptops, I blame x fucking G. I’m paying to be entertained and it’s just really tedious.
Surely someone in the hierarchy is looking at the manager’s post-match comments and thinking that’s not acceptable, it was dull as fuck. I don’t want hoofball but I don’t want this either.
It’s not really about the money. It’s about the time I invest in watching this shite and caring about it. Is it the players, is it SR? Dreading the trip to the Tin Shed down the road.

And then after a crap season we have the joy of watching FIFA bending over in front of Trump for a World Cup that no one can afford tickets for. At least the Six Nations is coming up.

All true. Saints have drained the enthusiasm out of many.

The World Cup - don’t give a shit to be honest, although admit that may change if Eng-ger-land make progress in knock out stages.

Six nations - deserves its own thread. But final comment is that money looks like ruining rugby as well, notice the first game on a Thursday evening. Game prostituting itself for television.

The France-Ireland game being on a Thursday night - saw that and thought ‘WTF?!’

That’s weird - you’ve quoted me there but that’s not my quote, it was from ant I think.

I quoted your quote ^^

The players will be at home in their plush mansions or out and about in their flash motors, not a care in the world or any thought for the long suffering fans. Along with others I can think of a few of our ex pedigree managers who would have had the lot of them up at Staplewood today and they'd have been metaphorically hung, drawn and quartered. They'd have had the riot act read to them and been told their fortunes before some hard sessions to teach them some harsh realities. It's all too easy these days and the players are allowed to get away with murder. No discipline and zero accountability so it's no wonder they continually coast along doing the bare minimum.

My brother  treated our 21 year old daughter to a ticket for the  game yesterday. She’s an Aussie but been living in England for the last 5 months with her boyfriend’s family (Pompey supporters!) The last game we took her to at St Mary’s was in 2015 when Saints beat Arsenal 2-0 - her hero is still Pelle! Boyfriend’s family are literally salivating for Sunday!!

If/when Frank gets sacked by Spurs, i’d push the boat out and offer him a three-four year project with funds to rebuild, get us promoted, and then (er) survive. On the other hand he has worked with Rasmus before 🤦‍♂️

There are zero scenarios whereby Frank is an option for us. Lampard isn't even an option for us, nor are the likes of Alex Neil, Wilder, Robins, Ange, Gerrard etc.

As fans we need to realise how far down the pecking order we now are. We are a poor, bottom half Championship team and our only options are coaches happy to get the gig, punts on L1/L2 managers, or an SOS call to the likes of Mowbray. That is where we live now.

I’d go for Challinor - organisation, fitness, cut the Martinball out with fines in training.

Point taken about Frank (probably) but it’s bollocks to say were couldn’t be in the market for people at the Robins/Wilder  level. Even next season we’ll still be one of the richest clubs outside the premier league. It’s just that we’ve chosen to go down the unknown hipster youth route for manager.

Matsuki deserved to keep their places but nope they both got dropped!

Matsuki was absolute gash when he came on. Misplaced a simple ball to Manning and got away with a nasty challenge. Not sure why fans think he is any good to be honest.

Agreed. I felt that he was trying too hard, was too hyped up. Overhitting passes and mistiming tackles. We need someone with a cool head.

Just a desperation play, Eckert hoping to stumble on something that works. Guy hasn't been seen for the first part of the season save for a game against Norwich reserves.

Have to witness first hand at Fratton Park next Sunday this shower of shite inevitably bottle it or accept i have wasted near £60 & just take the dog out for a long walk instead????

Take the dog out, somewhere outside mobile data coverage, and don't take a radio.  Plenty of time to be miserable in the evening when you hear the result, so at least get some joy out of the weekend.

It's the road I've chosen: no internet forums, BBC sports website, dodgy streaming sites or radio whenever this shower of shite are playing.  If by some miracle they get a decent result, then it's serendipity, but I most certainly don't hang my whole weekend on the result

At least it's Sunday so you can enjoy your Saturday beforehand.

I cannot remember a time where I have actively hated so many of our players. I genuinely wish them nothing but failure when they depart this club, I suspect we will be waiting for contracts to expire though.

The money spent on that squad is mental compared to other Championship squads. I would guess we are comfortably out in front in terms of transfer fees spent on players. I don't think it is harsh to say that the owners gave us another shite transfer window in the summer either. £20m+ combined on Azaz and Jander is absolutely honking business.

Next Sunday is going to be worse than 2005. This group of absolute cunts playing for us are not fit to wear the shirt.

Sport Republic out.

Johannes Spors out.

Tonda Eckert out.
