Oooh Scienza nearly scored, blocked on the line Let’s hope he flakes his shots today and doesn’t get hundreds and thousands of them. Could’ve been an interesting partnership with Maxwel Cornet. 1

Saint_clark Posted Saturday at 15:30 Posted Saturday at 15:30 Just now, pingpong said: Usually my stance on players is similar to most on here, manning is awful etc. I guess because my position was always GK I'm more aware of GK choices and peretz doesn't make good ones in terms of positioning and angles, and his distribution is a tenth of what we had previously. Long is not spectacular, but has stronger positioning, I think they are probably equal in quality. Baz with a back 4 would be superior to both, shame he had to sit behind 3 and so ended up rooted a lot of the time. You're a lunatic if you honestly believe all that. 1 2
Hopper Posted Saturday at 15:30 Posted Saturday at 15:30 Shea Charles playing very well. Rolls Royce performance so far. 1
hypochondriac Posted Saturday at 15:30 Posted Saturday at 15:30 I still don't see the appeal of Azaz. Pretty limited championship player imo. 1

Saint86 Posted Saturday at 15:31 Posted Saturday at 15:31 Azaz's finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

AlexLaw76 Posted Saturday at 15:45 Posted Saturday at 15:45 Lots of control but not enough movement when we get into the final 3rd...not many runners into the box as we advance.... 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted Saturday at 15:46 Posted Saturday at 15:46 Currently working, can someone summarise the first half for me

There's also been quite a few times when Stewart has run across the line and got himself into a good position and the player on the ball hasn't looked up or has passed sideways instead.
Saint NL Posted Saturday at 15:46 Posted Saturday at 15:46 Derby losing, we really need a goal out of somewhere

Azaz in AM is a trade off, he doesn't make runs into the box so crosses are pretty much fully reliant on Stewart getting on the end of it. Very easy to defend. 1

Yes, way too much of the ball coming back central when wide, coupled with no real runners into the box. 4
coalman Posted Saturday at 15:47 Posted Saturday at 15:47 If ever there was a case for playing two up top... Shame that neither Larin nor Stewart has 90 mins in them at the moment. 2

When we get wide there aren't players in the middle, and trying to go through the middle there are just too many Charlton shirts. A bit more pace and guile, coupled with a slice of fortune.
