Other than the sugar rush and initial aftermath of Gabbiadini's second, I think that's the best we've been at Wembley. 

Or to reframe it, the best we've been across an entire match rather than in a single moment. 

You rarely walk away more heartened from a loss than that.

Inevitable to get some helmets who need to lay off the sniff and booze in the sun. I didn't see anything, but there's no excuse in this day and age to be a tool at the match like that. All clubs suffer from this though in large numbers.

Like all clubs, we do sadly have a very small minority of utter tools following us. A day out in the sunshine at Wembley with a teatime KO allowing for all afternoon drinking beforehand is, unfortunately, going to bring a lot of them out of the woodwork.

I wouldn't care too much about what they put on their forum, City support was shite as expected, saw a few of theirs who thought it would be funny to celebrate right in the faces of Saints fans outside at the end then quickly wished they hadn't so probably two sides to those stories. 

I thought our support was good to be honest, build up around Wembley was buzzing and felt like we outnumbered them 3 to 1 going up Wembley way, no bother pre match just really positive atmosphere,  obviously the occassion meant more to us and that was reflected in the build up and the stands

Few of our younger fans embarrassing themselves on social media as always. They’ve no recollection of a pre Arab oil Man City though so I guess can be forgiven, but it’s just cringe when they’re arguing with 60 year old blokes who have probably seen it all. 

In terms of yesterday, a hell of a lot of coked up nippers which added an unnecessary edge afterwards. Atmosphere was pretty good though I thought.

I saw this post game, too. Even our own fans were getting into scuffles with each other at the Green Man and in the concourse.  Of course, the majority outweighed the idiots but some of the “banter” given to City fans afterwards was cringeworthy.

I was upper tier and expected atmosphere to be quite flat compared to lower but was actually impressed, good noise around me and everyone seemed to be getting involved, probably helped by the fact that it was limited areas left when on members sale so a real mix of fans getting the singing going. 

I'd say losing a semi final to a late goal there absolutely should be a necessary edge afterwards,  Highbury 84, get stuck in Saints

I'll admit I made a pretty hasty exit to get back to Wembley Central and make sure I was able to get the last available train back (just to reiterate...shit kick off time...), but there were definitely a handful of Saints fans who came across as utter bell ends getting in the face of elderly City fans/young families coming out the ground.

Had hoped it was just an isolated incident, but perhaps not...

On the whole though, our fans were marvellous!

Unfortunately most clubs, ours included, have a group of young lads who believe themselves to be tough when in a group and probably fortified by drink or some sort of pill/powder.
The sort of attitude displayed by those implicated on the City fans forum is probably linked to Saints being the underdogs for the match.
The behaviour shown by a minority of our supporters at Wembley has been noticeable in the past when we have played lower ranked teams at St Marys.. 
Its a shame as it denigrates the majority of our fans who are decent, family oriented supporters.

On the whole, it was a trouble free day. I met plenty of Mancs on the train and in the pub before the match. It was all very good natured tinged with a bit of natural rivalry. Yes, there were some idiots who'd had too much alcohol or marching powder or both, but both sets of supporters had a good day out.

For me it was the league cup final. Mainly because it was a final. The atmosphere throughout the 2nd half was amazing where I was and we had chances and should have won the game after a very dodgy half hour. I drove back to Carlisle pretty happy for a cup final loss and it was amazing. But topped again by the end of the playoff final… what a day that was!

I was in the ground for a good ten minutes after the final whistle, you could see the lift the players got from appreciation received from the fans, really good , Wembley obviously thought we wanted to hear from one of Man City's players broadcasting post match interview over the speakers but that was completely drowned out by Saints singing

Brilliant today, the singing on the train, after the final whistle... on the way back!

We may have not got the result we wanted, but that was arguably the most fun day at Wembley/London i've personally had. Great mixing with fans of other teams in the centre of London, especially the Derby fans in Covent Garden.

Posted in the match thread as well, but we were in Hackney Wick beforehand and the Hammers were complimentary about us. 

City fans weren't enjoying the critique of them outside the ground afterwards, which was amusing.

(By which I'm not condoning those that crossed a line - but the chants about their poor support weren't unfair).

One Gillingham fan took umbrage to our lot singing on the Jubilee train back down, but I think he was just a bit odd.

Just read that whole thread, absolutely comedy gold, especially matey crying cause his Mrs got called fat in McDonald's, must be on a wind up, would take most of their stories with a huge pinch of salt. 

But overall you can see how triggered they are, they know our crowd outshone their pathetic support and have taken to the Internet to have a good old winge being bullied off the pitch, resorting to the usual 'Pompey fans are better' nonsense. Perhaps they were expecting us to give them a guard of honour on Wembley Way. 

Pleased that despite the result some of them had their day out spoilt 👍

As for kids, there's a little glory hunting shit who turns up to my kids training each week in a City kit, clearly been given poor guidance by his parents but if he pipes up at all this week they’ll be getting the full treatment

Fair point. I'm inclined to think that people wouldn't make it up for the sake of it but I guess you never know these days. It is the internet after all.
