What a bloody brilliant game to watch this is. Both sides at full tilt.

Cant disagree with that. It’s well and good saying Saints are a bit leggy but Ipswich have been very good. They’ve let us have it in our half then pressed well when we try to go forward. Their defence has been decent.

We’re doing well too. Could easily go either way, I’d say Ipswich have had the better of the chances but either side could unlock something.

Think we’re missing a bit of control in centre midfield. I like Charles but he doesn’t quite make the game tick like Downes or even Bragg.

Ipswich the better team in the 1st half.

Scienza needs to stay on his bloody feet - so frustrating!

Hopefully a better 2nd half

It’s a fairly even match, with our players holding a slight advantage.

Our opponents tonight are playing it safe and have set their sights on just one player: Leo Scienza!

I think it’s going to be a tight game right to the end, and if there’s a winner, it’ll be by the narrowest of margins...

Southampton should have been awarded at least two penalties... The referee isn’t on his game...

Come on, reds!

Half time boos? Hope they were from Ipswich fans. I thought we battled ok, just lacked a bit of quality.

For the ref I assume

Just booing the ref not giving a pen, weren’t they?

We seem to have a deliberate tactic of stretching the pitch and playing quite direct, but I think we're good enough to play round them. We are pressing really aggressively too. It's a slightly different approach to normal.

Ref is a bit weak, can see him getting swayed by a dive or a bit of wind blowing a player over

i hate seeing players get matey with a ref. i don't believe any player has anything other than contempt for refs and they're just sucking because they think they have a chance to sway him.

Who was it that decided it'd be better if Saints played at home in a swamp?

Was saying against Bristol City that it looked too wet. Same again.

Nice to see Jander carry on his good form.

Larin looks up for it, but the ball isn't coming forward as much as we'd hope.

Scienza has a reputation for going down too easily and it's doing him no favours

Honestly when we’ve tried playing out from the back we’ve struggled imo

I don't think it was a pen, but feck knows how he gave a goal kick.

I don't think it's a bad half. Both teams are tired and we have a good bench that can win the game.  And I think QPR could probably beat both us and Ipswich just now

It’s spelled ‘booze’ but yeah go on, if you’re buying.

I'm sticking a pot of filter coffee on if that will do. Might have some Tia Maria knocking about...

Jander having a good game. Azaz not. Think we might struggle second half. Ipswich have a decent bench.

Passing hasn't been great, Jander is absolute class, I don't get Scienza,if he stayed on his feet he'd tear most teams a new one, is so frustrating. Manning isn't looking great tonight and Charles looks off it. I guess we will see.

Its a great watch for the neutral this one

It'll have to be caution to the wind stuff if this stalemate continues. Stewart alongside Larin and go long ball.

Things you can say about a pitch that you can't say about your Nan...

As good as jander has looked in winning the ball, he’s looked a bit lost with it.

Poor first half. We're losing the midfield and that's down to Charles who is strolling around instead of digging in and helping out - he's leaving Jander to toil away on his own. Need to step up big time in the second half because we haven't got going so far.

For those who aren’t here, I don’t know if you are getting the sense, but it’s hammer and tong, 100 mile an hour breathless stuff, no time, no space . We are doing ok, neither team on top. Brilliant really, championship at its blood and thunder best. Ipswich are playing like we did against Citeh. No idea how it’s going to end up,

He's doing everything on his own because Charles is not putting a shift in.

Yeah, Leo has to stop all this diving because he's now got a reputation for it. Go over if you're hit hard otherwise stay on your feet.

I don't think the ref situation is a bad thing. Psychologically, he might feel he owes us and it'll pay dividends in some way in the second half
