But yes, wonderful pettiness, and I dare say the skates took due note. Don't get me wrong, I fucking hate the skate myth-making, webbed-fingered cunts as much as the next Sotonian, but they are our cretins to hate. We haven't got any room for rivalries with anyone else. 1

Would be hilarious to watch them have to get up at the crack of dawn, come down in a bubble all the way from Boro, sit in the ground for hours beforehand, only to be met with a mild sense of complete apathy towards them from the home fans. 6
Badger Posted October 12 Posted October 12 2 hours ago, EssEffCee said: And in today's episode of things which didn't happen. Fanciful load of bollocks isn’t it ? Most Saints fans I think are indifferent to Middlesbrough, and don’t give a shit other than wanting to finish above them. But that’s no different to Wolves, West Ham or whoever. 2
Disco Stu Posted October 12 Posted October 12 It is all a bit strange given how much they benefited from the whole affair. They seem to have a case of Bompey-itis.
Midfield_General Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) According to Steve on today's TSP, the deadline by which the FA would have had to appeal against the panel's decision has now passed, and they haven't appealed. So all this bullshit is finally, 100%, officially, done. SPYGATE: OVER Edited October 16 by Midfield_General 9

Badger Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) Thought I’d have a gander at the Middlesbrough forum re our match and result today. Some balanced and fair comments, not dissimilar to the range of opinions onhere from time to time. Not sure “titanic” is an appropriate phrase! Perhaps we should petition someone about it being insensitive to our maritime history! No, but we know some who might Perhaps they can see the Tonda Effect (which is why many wanted him crucified). and… Personally I wasn’t bothered about Middlesbrough before this episode, and although a few hot heads have had their say (from both clubs) I’m pretty indifferent about them now. In many ways would rather we and they went up rather than say West Ham or Wolves Edited October 24 by Badger 1

I think Saints fans are going to but put in a bubble for our own safety from the visiting Middlesbrough fans. Pick up points to be confirmed by the FAB

We were sent down one of those down a steep hill for my a friend’s birthday years ago (Zorbing I think it’s called). Far more scary than any encounter with the toothless, crime-afflicted residents of Middlesbrough. Glad we went for the strapped in option - the two lads who did the aqua filled one saw their Zorb turn claret as they collided with each other, one lad’s knee smashing into the other’s nose. Pamplemousse Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Probably far too early to do a Middlesbrough build up thread, but we've only given them 2000 tickets for when we play them... Personally I'd have taken the money and let them have the full 3k allocation

Personally I'd have taken the money and let them have the full 3k allocation Can't be too careful, the FAB as the voice of the fans have expressed their absolute fear at the levels of BANTZ that might occur in this game and a reduced allocation seems the right decision, in fact i think they should've pushed for it to be played behind closed doors, or maybe only those that attend women's games should be allowed to go. Maybe with such a representative sample of our fans like the FAB we can push for these measures next season instead? Alongside bringing in lifetime bans for anyone that uses hurty words 2

Mind you it's a Friday night, not Saturday at 3pm, so maybe they took a reduced allocation first to see how they sell? Hopefully it'll sell out.

I suspect we’re just offering them the same allocation as they make available in a similar size stadium.

The alternative approach would be to offer the bigger allocation but they pay up front. Being Friday night we might get to sing 'your away end's too big for you'... I'm guessing the rest of the ground will be packed.

Pamplemousse Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 2000 is too specific a number - that's the minimum we have to offer. If they had taken a lower allocation it would depend on the blocks - I think the two blocks come up to 1800 odd? It's definitely our choice.

Yep 100% , I actually doubt they'd have brought much more than 2k on a Friday night anyway Its same allocation we gave them in play offs They'll give us the minimum 2k as well Edited 5 hours ago by Football Special
