Words of a spoilt little boy who's had his train set taken away, methinks.

Or rather, me hopes!

Very Stupid question but if he feels hes done such a fine job of sorting out the mess, why has he resigned? or is it mandatory once your company goes into admin?

Mandatory but the debt is a lot less than this time last year.

I am surprised that Lowe and Wilde returned without better guarntees from the bank

If he has resigned from the PLC board but not from the football club directorship then I dont see how he can be thrown out of SMS as surly he still has a job to do?

Sends shivers down my spine to think he may come back and own the whole lot but I guess the only way he can get the funds to do that will be with a split shareholding. And look where that got us last time!

What a spoilt little boy. A complete loser.

On a more serious note, I am beginning to wonder if we will ever be free of him.

I pray to the almighty that someone steps in and buys the club from the administrators.

I know I am thick on these financial shennanigans but how can someone step in and buy the club from the administrator when the club is not in administration,SLH are the ones in Administration................ Or am I wrong?

SFC is an asset of SLH and has to be sold with all the other assets in order to foot the £4million bill.

Because if PLC sell the club they can reduce the debt

In which case, it will be run by the administrators, until such time that happens.

Which is what I'm led to believe is happening. Only the financial director of the club/SLH remains in place to assist the administrators.

Alpine, if the 24 day deadline is approaching and the only viable purchaser is Lowe, would you rather SFC went under completely than see him back in charge?

Very provocative Ponty but I'll take you up on that.

I love the club, I love everything about the club, and it's been a big part of my life for 40+ years.

Putting all that to one side I really don't think I could find the stomach for a phoenix 'New Saints' that included anything to do with RL.

It's not the answer you want to hear but if you think it's been grim the last 5 years, wait for another 5 years of NuLowe... unless he has the backers that he has so conspicuously failed to produce so far Idon't think he'd last 6 months.

Hopefully that's all hypothetical and it won't come to it but I for one wouldn't lose too much sleep if the choice was between the noSaints and the RL-Saints.

FWIW, I'd hate the concept, but I'd have to assume that he was confident of the club being successful. After all, success is the only way a private investor could hope to see a return on his investment. I'm sure whoever buys it (fingers crossed) won't be spunking his cash on a hobby.

God help us if he did buy us, that would be 60 years a supporter gone for me, it would be my last interest

when you say escorted off the premises, do you mean marched out and hushed away or that he was joined by a staff member/members who waved him off?

i would not like to be the person if it is a member of the club staff if they have rubbed his nose in the ground and then he returned..

i have a horrible feeling that there will be a sting in the tail, now if the lot of them are humiliated then that will be something to behold.

He's already played that card once...

Thats the only laugh I've had out of this - Jones remaining to assist the Administrator.

Reminds me somewhat of the time-honoured journalistic "Mr X has been detained and is asisting the Police with their enquiries".

Not suggesting that anything illegal has been done, of course, although his performance under both regimes has been underwhelming to say the least.

It definately isn't mandatory.

The administrator does have the power to remove them from office though.

Jumped before they were pushed?

by the picture from the Echo it hardly seems that Lowe was being escorted from SMS, perhaps a little bit of artistic licence is being used.

having seen the pic, I would agree, but they might have escorted him out of the building and then let him him make his way to the car?

Make NO mistake ... He WILL be back .... just as he came back the last time

This time, he wants to OWN Saints .... any bets against ???

As long as he has just ONE share, he will be there to haunt us

Not think at all. Lots of people get confused by this.

I haven't bothered to check the exact ownership details but in basic terms you can break the current club structure down into 3 main parts.

1) The "business" of "Southampton Football Club". This is comprises the tangible and intangible assets and liabilities that make up what we would call the "the club". It is not a company, but the assets that a company owns.

This is owned by:

2) Southampton Football Club Limited - A company

This is owned by:

3) Southampton Leisure Holdings plc - which is listed on the AIM market and in in Administration.

An Aministrator of Southampton Leisure Holdings Plc can sell the shares of Southampton Football Club Limited, which are owned by Southampton Leisure Holdings Plc to a new investor.

N.B. I beleive there may also be a separate company which owns the stadium but I haven't actually bothered to check.

Does that make more sense?
