  1. He's brilliant ... although I'm speaking to a Leicester supporting mate who is stranded at home and couldn't make it, he said "I tuned in to watch Leicester not 30 minutes about Southampton" ... great work, nice one Sky
  2. For all their quality players, they just don't look like a team, or look very interesting to watch - weird. Enjoying watching Watford though!
  3. Safer bet to back Arsenal, given Man Utd seem to be exploding and West Ham could bomb out or equally push for a top 4 spot.
  4. Today proved again that the refs need assistance from a TV screen due to the pace of the game. At first I thought "f**king hell, the tw*t has elbowed him" ... but after the first replay you could see he hasn't. refs aren't brilliant but we do need video assistance due to the pace of the game.
  5. As you're presumably retired and therefore not having to do the work and school thing, I'll give you the benefit of doubt. You couldn't be further from the truth here. It's not just a lack of housing, there is plenty of housing; it's hard to see doctors, lengthy queues at hospitals, local school lotteries with a slim chance of getting your children into a school next door, over-crowded and dangerous roads where buses, pedestrians and cars and killing each other, it's a lack of buses, it's over-crowded trains and stations, it's tubes that are so rammed you need to wait for the 4th tube before you get on, it's a f**king tough job market where jobs are really hard to secure. Houses are the least of our problem, there are just too many people in this little country with p*ss-poor infrastructure and I'm not talking about HS bloody 2, I'm talking about buses, reliable trains and tube, integrated transport, roads that are't crumbling under the weight and that are safe for cyclists and pedestrians that aren't crushed weekly and when they build all these new estates, they should be made to build schools, surgeries and adequate road layouts for safe parking, cycling and pedestrian crossings. This current fad of building 1 space per postage stamp house makes no sense, but that's a whole other rant.
  6. Virgil - absolutely no one else currently comes close.
  7. I agree with the fitness - I don't think the team are as fit, but apparently Pochettino's fitness/training regimes were very hard and the players welcomed the matches as a 'break'. Will be interesting to see if Spurs maintain their momentum right until the end of the season. I think Juanmi was bought to play the extra matches we'd have had in the Europa League group stages?? That went well ...
  8. He really wasn't wrong. Just very poor all round - hard to pick a best player from that. As has been said, we're always sh*t after long breaks, just completely f**ked up our momentum - but it wasn't just that, Bournemouth did play well and hassled well.
  9. Plenty of good streams. Just poor football.
  10. With a performance like that (and the ones recently), the only elsewhere is going to be a move to the 4th division to portsmouth.
  11. 100% this. No way does Klopp want him. I expect him to turn up at Swansea or equivalent mid-table.
  12. I did laugh out loud, especially when he almost fell over and when he tried to push Toure who stood his ground and then picked him up ... topped off with missing, brilliant
  13. Infraction, stop stamping on people's dreams.
  14. I've done many different martial arts, boxing and Krav Maga - what you're trained to do is still very different from real life (although Krav Maga is the closest). If you've been on the beers all day and you and your mates come under attack, are you really going to think "okay I need to walk away?" - a sober you might, if you've got the space to do so. But once you've had a few beers you might react differently or actually the real life situation is exactly nothing like what you've been taught in a safe room. You look out for number 1. If looking out for number 1 involves hurling a table and THEN making your exit, that's what you do.
  15. Would love someone to punch the c**t square on the jaw.
  16. Probably someone nowhere near it, who heard via a friend of a friend, or read Peach's tweet and decided that was the truth. There is more evidence from people who were there to suggest it was Arnhem fans and the few Feyenoord were drinking peacefully WITH Saints in the square.
  17. Of course they'd say that, it's their rivals, think about it!
  18. Agreed and as a side note, the Echo piece is embarrassingly bad too.
  19. Define "thrived" though? There are plenty of players that have moved on and had nice little careers; higher earnings? More internal appearances? European football? I find it a bit arrogant (not picking on you here, just replying to the whole thread) to suggest that Saints improve players and most fail when they leave. I wouldn't call more internal appearances, higher earnings and European football as failure? Sure, their club's new fans may not appreciate them like we did (Morgan), but I wouldn't say he's failed. You could also add players such as Bridge, Svensson, Crouch etc to that list surely?
  20. I absolutely love this guy!
  21. I will be staggered if the vote results in a "stay". Absolutely staggered.
  22. No - I want us to win every match, regardless.
  23. Stop stamping on people's dreams with your sensible message.
  24. I did think that was a bit 'extreme'.
  25. Why not just assume they'll win and schedule it for the Sunday, rather than f*cking around with everyone's plans ... AGAIN. Modern football. F*ck off.
