  1. This and the fact that arsenal is almost two weeks away!
  2. I can never remember a time when I have been so ambivalent toward the January transfer window. Don't want to see any players leave until the end of their contracts and really see only one incoming in January if that. The 'next level' in my book will come from the academy.
  3. Mowgli

    Sundays Games

We are the clear meanest defence in the league again!
  4. I'm sure it's all original but can't help feeling I've read it all before somewhere.....
  5. Difficult to know how to reply to this. The wind beat the keepers on both occasions. So no I don't blame Boruc at all and JRods goal was equally lucky. Point a fair result. Stoke worked harder than most teams we've faced
  6. He will put out a team just strong enough to beat the opposition. So players like Gaston, Kelvin, Chambers, JWP and possibly Lee and Fox should all get starts.
  7. It is I think. McDonald Mariga Wanyama
  8. The voices. It's the damn voices.....
  9. Why do people insist on bouncing old threads? It's like being back in the school playground.
  10. The choice simply wasn't there. We wanted someone who could keep the play moving without losing possession. Guly is perfect for that strategy.
  11. No one has ever suggested that
  12. Me too. Though as others have mentioned there are similarities. Both have big egos and big ambitions. One has the better business acumen and access to finances whilst the other tried to do it on the cheap. One has a slick media image whilst the other just comes across as a ****. Did make me smile the other day when I read that Cortese visits the training ground almost every day. That went by without a comment whereas the list went into meltdown when Rupert did it. Let's just revel in the good position we are in now and not look back. There was one person in my view far worse than Lowe and it began with Bran.......
  13. Very well said. People need to see some of these #ourjourney videos on youtube to remind themeselves of the important role he played - e.g. 10+ goals in our Championship season. Actually even I was surprised by De Ridder looking useful on occassions too. We just moved up too quickly for him to keep up I think.
  14. Would honestly prefer puncheon!
  15. He was fine before the injury. It was clearly much more serious than some thought
  16. Can I just say that having read the extracts of the book I can now see Harry in a new light. I always thought he was an idiot. Only now do I relaise that it was HIM that made Gareth Bale the legend he is today. It was HIM that discovered Theo Walcott. Peter Crouch would not have made it a a professional footballer had it not been for HIM. It was HARRY who gave Kenwyne Jones his shot at the big time. And it was absolutely NOTHING to do with him that P*rtsm*uth ended up in such a financial mess (it was actually the sales he took a cut of not the purchases - allegedly!) #fantasyworld
  17. That one is goona come back and bite you...
  18. You guys have short memories. The Dell rarely sold out just before we moved. Capacity of 15,500 and most attendances were a few hundred short of that, at least. If there is a suggestion of a sell out a lot of people simply won't bother trying to get a ticket. But they would if they knew there were 40,000+ available. Regular attendances in excess of 30k would suggest a 40k stadium would attract regular crowds of 38k. Personally I think the debate is premature. Wait till we get to Champions League.
  19. If you honestly believe that you are missing so much of the modern game I wouldn't know where to start.
  20. Agreed but not too sure how that got him 9 MOTM votes!!! Fox can deliver a good cross (and not just from dead balls) and I saw several good tackles os he did his job. Made me smile when the crowd booed after two misplaced passes to JWP. Had it been the other way around I am convenced they would still have blamed Fox for not being in the right place to receive th balll. In the main he does what he is told to do and many fans can't comprehend that. That said, he is only a back up to Shaw and will only get the occassional game. That in itself makes it difficult for him because its games that get you in tune with the rest of the team. And how did Guly get 6 MOTM awards? Me thinks some of you aren't taking this seriously ;~) - but love the fact that he threw his shirt into the crowd at the end.
  21. Clearly Pochettino rates him otherwise he would not play him. Dyer gave him a hard time and he was done several times for pace. But he got a few important tackles in and delivered some good crosses. But hey, if you don't like him you will only see the bad side of him. Personally I think he is is ok as back up.
  22. If you didn't know better you would think the daily fail had an agenda.... :-/
  23. Bought one for the Bristol game and noticed the same picture appeared twice in the same programme taking up half a page each. Very poor. Thought maybe it had been cut down in size for the cup game as not as many pages but apparently they are all like that. Not really good value for money but no doubt great for the kids to collect and that is the market they are targeting.
  24. The debate mirrors that for Gazzaniga. Both will be prominent goalkeepers in years to come but they are still learning their trade at the minute.
  25. Yes but a good opportunity to orchestrate a decent send off. As someone else said, we will unlikely see him again at SMS
