Thread: Sportsmania

  1. Default Sportsmania

Trying to log into Sportsmania.rocks using Matrix app on Ipad as I always have, without success. Connection times out.
    Have I missed something?

I have a life subscription and have never had any problem until now.

    Help please!

I thought sportsmania died off about six months ago. I moved over to Flawless around about then I think.

    Default Sportsmania

SM has been faultless until I just tried logging on the same method as you.

I too have a lifetime pass.

Edit. Just seen a pinned post on their message board dated today that their system is offline for a couple of days for admin, updates and maintenance

I think they are upgrading their servers before the WC. Hopefully it is not something more sinister.

Moved to flawless myself months ago. Ultimate and sports mania were proving a tad too sketchy for me. Flawless is as the name suggests!

    Another lifer on SportsMania here..
Been down since end of last week, Thursday sometime I think. Initially 48hrs maintenance, then another 24hrs, then until early this week and still waiting now....

I guess they arenít going to last if it is only the life time subscribers that still use it. Donít imagine many are using bitcoin so struggle to see how they are maintaining any sort of income.

Ah yes, Bitcoin. That's when I bailed out on Sportsmania.

Bitcoin is the reason I won't be renewing too - there are so many excellent iptv options now that offer all the sports you'd ever want plus VoD, movies etc etc for the same money.

Any recommended alternatives? Getting less and less confident SportsMania will return by the day. Been a life member for 5 years so had my moneys worth. It changed management a few months ago, putting 2 & 2 together and guessing the original guys knew the best time to get out! Streaming via Kodi my main requirement..

My Mania HD runs out in July. I presume they are sill using Bitcoin for payment. I've found them pretty good all year with little problem. I see a lot of people are recommending Flawless. Is it worth switching from a Saints point of view?

How much is flawless and is it easy to use on phone/laptop?

I got sick of all the hassle with Mania and never made the jump to a perceived successor, such as Flawless.

I've been less commited to catching the live streams more recently anyway, however, I get by on Acestreams via my laptop and links via Reddit. Serves me well enough and no dodgy paying god knows who any money.

Yeah, I binned it as soon as they wanted everyone to pay in Bitcoin.

bought my subscription with bitcoin when it was worth around £10k per coin. So a years subscription cost me about 10 quid. Its worked perfectly for me all season, seems fine now.

Yeah Kodi works great. Only just realised that all the movies can be watched on GSE IPTV

Those that pay for subs should be careful. Ace hosting recently went into liquidation due to unpaid tax (stupid setting up a ltd company). They also received fine from PL apparently. The rumour is that they have given details of members to the PL. The email from the liquidators to creditors (members) suggested they are consulting with lawyers on whether or not to hand over this information to PL.

Pretty sure GDPR doesn't apply in instances where a company is compelled to hand over data as a result of a court order.

Looks like ace hosting were subject to UK law which is why they were in such a precarious position. I doubt other companies would be so stupid.

As somebody who doesn't understand these kodi type systems, and who pays over a hundred quid a month for bloody sky, are these systems legit or are they dodgy?

If you are on Twitter it's easy to look up some - I'll be joining either @LimitlessTeeVee, @infinity_iptv, or @finesseiptv I suspect.
A good group to follow is @IPTV_Help on twitter.
Flawless seems to get a lot of stick generally, but seems people on here are happy with it.

Stumbled across this group on FB today, special offer today only of £25 for 12 months for full IPTV so took a punt.

Set up and working ok on Kodi, this evening, see how long it lasts..

Looks like Flawless has gone bitcoin too! My SM sub ran out in May and i'm waiting on the promise of them starting to accept card payments again. I managed to log on to SM yesterday to check the updates on that, still bitcoin as of then. Would like it sorted for the WC.

    Hey CB,

how do you register with flawless, I have it installed on kodi but need an account. Hoping you can help.

Moved from Flawless to Sonar IPTV for the final couple of months of the season and didn't have a single buffer. Would highly recommend it, no VPN needed and a good app for Android boxes.

If you have the Apple TV 4 or above, you can just download GSE IPTV on the Apple TV itself.

Works well, but not as pretty as Flawless on Kodi.

They had a problem with their PayPal account. I had to renew my subscription this week with Bitcoin; but they should be back with PayPal witching the next few days.

If you mean "is it legal?" then the answer is no. Or to be more precise, the use of Kodi in itself is ok but the use of IPTV Kodi add-ons to view PL games etc is not legal.

As for whether they are dodgy, well according to the comments on here there are some that provide a decent service for the money you pay. Some authorities have claimed that they are often run by criminal gangs and that you are funding these groups by subscribing but I suppose the likes of Sky etc have a vested interest in saying that.

I suspect over time they will eventually close down most of these providers or at least make it harder and harder to use them. Ultimately it's up to you if you want to go down this route. If you do, there is plenty of information available on ways to do it.

    Flawless is well, pretty flawless.

Sportsmania became patchy and the bitcoin thing for me was the end and also SportsMania forums are populated by an utter bunch of sycophants to Willo.

That happened to me once at the end of April. Johnnyboy posted a link from flawless showing that they were having problems with the payment system. The problem soon resolved itself so keep trying. I think it took one day to resolve last time.
See streaming thread which is always very helpful.
Ah! I see further up the thread that Johnnyboy is already on the case. He's the flawless expert so will be able to help you better than I can.

FWIW, lots of people I know are really struggling with Flawless and are worried that it's going down the pan....glad some on here are OK with it but seems there's lots of very unhappy customers.

    FYI the latest from Sportsmania

    "Streams update 9 June
EDIT The Good news is both the boxing and ufc will be accessible tonight long as you have a uk ip and are using kodi/spmc. Simply go to the addon, Beetee sports folder and use the top links. Some addons won't work at the moment but will be live by the time the boxing is on.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time for some much needed clarity, let me first start by apologizing for taking this long to post but I didn't want to until I had a concrete idea of both what is going on and how to solve it. To cut a very long story short, Mania has always stood apart from the vast majority of other iptv services. Whereas others use cheaper host providers and generic software / core backends we have always prided ourselves on having the best quality and most secure, reliable streams regardless of cost which is why we partnered with a specialist panel provider many many years ago. Now unfortunately these guys have come under some heat recently (that's putting it very lightly but it's not my place to divulge more) and been forced to take the majority of their servers down which has left us very vulnerable. It's also been a bit of an eye opener, never keep all your eggs in 1 basket as the saying goes and rest assured going forward we certainly won't be.

Now the problem we are facing is due to the fact we are using bespoke software it's very hard to 'chop and change' and move all our infrastructure to a different provider, say for eg the one that every other Iptv is using. So at the moment it's all hands on deck trying to find a way round this, I've also had positive feedback from the aforementioned provider that they will be coming back online it's just a matter of time, sadly they cannot give a definitive window as to when that will be. We have a lot of extremely talented people working around the clock to solve this, even the main man Willow himself is back to lend a hand. Everything imaginable is being attempted including but not limited to building our own panel from the ground up and I'm confident my team will have this sorted within the next week or sooner so I humbly ask for a bit more patience from you folks."

Sounds like more waffle from SM. They were doing a big server upgrade last summer ready for the new season, which then actually didn't happen until January onwards. And then they went to bitcoin.

There are so many IPTV services out there, if the one you used to use has gone belly up just move on...

Cheers for this. Can you let us know when they are back up and running? I'd be happy to renew with them as they've been solid for the past few years, but don't want to commit until their problems are resolved.

"Evening ladies and gents, first of all id like to thank you again for your continued patience, a small update for u all, we are progressing nicely and things should soon all be back to normal, i cant give an eta on this at this time, for that i apologise, i would like to reiterate that some of the backroom guys are putting in some major hours to get us up and running again, i wont mention names but they know who they are

Im happy to speak truthfully to u guys and if u have any questions ill try and answer, but be gentle with me please (Y)

Now i know a lot of u have seen that other services like this one are closing and are having issues, i want to promise u we are not going anywhere, its just this is taking lot longer than first anticipated, but we are making good progress.

Until we are back up i will of course keep SOD as updated as i can so u dont miss anything even though u cannot watch live at the time.

Just trust us and keep the faith thats all i can ask.
