Have heard that those of you that have had season tickets for the last 5 years will get some sort of extra discount this year..

those of you that did not have a season ticket for what ever reason (ie a lowe protest) will miss out on this "extra" discount..

Had mine 2.5 seasons, this will be the 3rd. Oh wells, hopefully discount for existing ST holders however long they've had em too.

the prices (so i have heard) will be(ish) £250-350 with extra loyalty reward/discount for those who have had one for the last 5 years+

Don't suppose you mind me asking where you heard this? I've been in contact with David Luker for the past few weeks & he said prices had been drawn up to present to the new owners whenever they took control, wouldn't even let me have a snippet of what they were going to be. He did suggest though that there wouldn't be the big reductions that possibly some were expecting.

I reckon that those who facilitated the removal of the Lowe regime so that the takeover by the Swiss could proceed, deserve some sort of reward, recognition and thanks

And a good kicking for the stress they've put everyone through for the last 100 odd days of uncertainty! ;)

Your reward is administration.

Why should those that continued to financially support the club not be appreciated?

The club should come first, not boardroom politics - fans and shareholders included.

Personally I would not give a discount to anyone providing the cost is close to other similar clubs. If you have had a ST for five years I doubt a discount will influence your next purchase.

I have had two STs for many years of Lowe's tenure, boycotted the renewal when he took us down, but still attended all home matches. Then I renewed when Lowe was forced out and then boycotted again when he returned and attended all matches until the tail end of the season when I'd had enough and decided not to put one extra penny into the club while he remained.

Now he's gone for good (hopefully), I'll be back to renewing the STs for this coming season.

Yes, we gained administration, but I'm inclined to believe that the boycotts might have affected the finances, but not the relegation, which was self-inflicted the moment we dismissed Pearson and appointed the double Dutch.

Although it has been nerve-wracking and we might have ended up with Jackson's lot or Fialco, ultimately we will hopefully end up where we would otherwise have been, but much, much better off financially with the new owners than if the club had survived the administration but with Lowe remaining.

For the first time in many years, I feel more optimistic for our future.

We will look back on this episode a few years down the line and count our blessings that all of this transpired.

Fair play to you.

I do think that the poor finances at the end of the season contributed to relegation as we coud not afford a loan player(s).

However, if the Dutch clowns had not been appointed I doubt we would have been in the situation.

Everything is linked!

I agree wholeheartedly with these sentiments and can only hope that all fans rally behind the club in a singular aim, as hopefully, there will now be no reason not to do so.

I travelled down from london about 15 times last season! It cost me a ****ing fortune. I went to Cardiff on the first day and I never once made a fuss about Rupert Lowe or saw fit to boycott, I just went to the football games and supported the team regardless. Now I can't even get a membership for this season.

I couldn't give a toss about whether I get a discount or not, I just want my club back, and to be able to watch my team again knowing ol' cherry chops is as far away from having any involvement as possible.

Not much to ask, I don't think.

Fair point but I do think that anyone who bothered to attend on at least a semi-regular basis last season deserves some recognition. The attendance was usually around 15,000 compared to around 22,000 the season before. And 30,000 were up for watching Manchester United, but we couldn't even fill the ground for those last 3 home games.

New start, clean slate, in my opinion. One flat price per section, no loyalty

discounts. Let's not have any of this 'better fan' rubbish anymore.

It will be up to our new owners. If they feel that it makes good business sense to offer some reward for loyalty, then fine. If not, then I'm sure that as the astute business people they are, they will set the prices at a sensible level. This will reflect the division we are in and ought to take account of the fact that it is better to set it at a level that encourages a fuller stadium than one where the stadium is half empty. The reason is simple; with more people comes greater expenditure on ancilliaries such as food and drink, programmes and impulse buys in the Megastore.

They could do a lot worse than study Norwich's price scale, which gives concessions for the young up to the end of the teen years and also the older supporters. That policy rewards the longstanding fans and encourages the youngsters into the Saints supporting habit, as well as encouraging family attendances.

Had a ST since '93 and had no response from my email to Luker. Sounds like he needs to pull his finger out.

trousers the non attendees shafted us all.If thewre are as many as we have been told then we wouldnt be in administration, we would have had funds and we wouldnt be -10 in L1. It has not been that clever IMO

great news. I'm chuffed with that. Those that bought last year despite knowing we were in for a load of **** deserve a brucey bonus IMO.

Or those that tried to help save the club and stayed loyal get rewarded. The more I hear about the new owner the more I like it. The new broom option or the old protaganists working together were the only two ways to go and so it has been proven. Do you think MLT and co would have rewarded the loyal fans above the plastic boycotters? I don't know, but it's irrelevant and I personally and along with many others are extremely happy the club has been saved and our contribution recognised.
