They had the Ex-Directory box before, so perhaps they'll continue with it. Perhaps Lowe will want to attempt to get Markus to invest in WH Ireland. CB Saint Posted 17 July, 2009 Share Posted 17 July, 2009 Can't see it - the only reason he or any of the others would turn up is to enjoy an afternoon of football. What do you think the chances are of that when the stadium turn their collective gunsights on him. When he was chairman he used to get paid for the abuse, can't seeing paying for it unless he's into to that sort of thing.

Nineteen Canteen Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 I sincerely hope not - we have moved on and so should he. By your logic the same should apply to Crouch, Corbett, Wilde and all. If they want to buy a tickets or a box then charge them full admission and make em park in West Quay. Their money is as good as anyone elses but that should not confer privileges over any other ordinary supporter. I would like Leon to sit next to me, so many questions though. Half time wouldn't be long enough especially if he didn't get back until the 52nd minute having queued for 20 minutes to get Lawrie's Bovril. To be fair I can imagine Crouch paying to watch Saints as he is a true fan. I can't imagine Lowe paying despite claiming to be a fan although this is obviously pure conjecture! I wouldn't have a problem with either coming to SMS as long as they paid. Edited 18 July, 2009 by the boy from saints

Markus did say in his first interview that he will buy his own ticket and that he expects his executive staff to do so as well. IMO he got this one the wrong way round, I don't see why people such as Oldknow who are at the games in a professional capacity should have to pay. I would however be extremely disappointed if we are still handing out freebie guest tickets to Lowe, Crouch, Lawrie, Wilde, Corbett, Richards, Jones, Wiseman or any other of hangers on from the old era. beatlesaint Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 If anyone would care to point out to 19C that certainly Mary Corbett pays for her ticket, I think to most its well known that her family have 4 or 5 season tickets and she is far from the free loader that Askham etc are. I am sure Leon Crouch pays as well and if he doesnt dont you think he is entitled to a freebie after keeping the club afloat during the last few months ? You really are a pompus, smug, self indulgent prize pillock 19C As for Lowe.....well when he came before it was because og his shares and his master plan to get back into power. There is no chance of that anymore so what would be the point of him coming ? You turn up on here only recently and prove by this statement that your knowledge of Saints cannot be that deep. I agree with you totally about Wilde, and have no particular feelings about Corbett, but why you continue to slate Crouch is incresdibly naive, I wonder if he will continue to sponsor Saints or a Saints player as he has done for many years, putting money into the Club even when Lowe was in charge. We all know Crouch can be a bit of a loose cannon but really you should learn to distinguish between good and bad, right and wrong. Lowe and Wilde, they are not welcome (unless they just buy a ticket), but Crouch should at least be afforded a little respect for all the good things he has done in the past few years. Vectis, IMO Crouch is a fan and at times one that is more interested in shameless self-promotion but one whose ego did not match his credibility as an astute individual ready to take this club forward and the tough decisions that it required. It is just an opinion but explain to me why it was important for individuals who dontated in excess of £1000 post administration to have their names in the programme and on the website? Why did the Echo latch onto Crouch's contributions? In any event not the personal style of a benefactor I would like to align myself with and thankfully no longer one I will have to worry about. Liebharr and his team have raised the bar to another level entirely and TFFT. I wish Crouch well for the good of his employees but beyond that glad that he is just a supporter like the rest of us and look forward to seeing him in one of the many public car parks on match days.
