Bristol Rovers Match on the Internet

Listed on there and I guess several other websites, but isn't on Sky or ESPN.

Highly unlikely that this will be broadcast when it comes to it. Sky don't have the FA Cup rights this season and ESPN I don't think have picked them up.

The FA have kept the Sentanta games for themselves and are broadcasting the Leeds game on their website for free.

So who in the world is going to broadcast a FA Cup First round game for this site to tap into the feed of? There may well be a lot of PL football nuts in Thailand or South Africa but I just can't see a broadcaster anywhere showing this game off their own back.

From what I've seen the general rule is, and I've not seen evidence to the contrary, that for CCC and lower, if it isn't on Sky (or BBC/ITV/etc) it isn't on any websites.

Don't get your hopes up!!

Indeed. There are a lot of bogus sites claiming to stream live football, with links that go round in circles to nowhere. I think their game is just to get as many visitors as possible (their advertisers pay them by the number of hits). Bloody annoying.

True with a lot of places but the site in the original post is trustworhty, i've used it for about 2 seasons and many games get a very good quality picture aswell.

Entirely agree! I'm beginning to hate the Internet in many respects. For sport, news & shopping, it's handy. For things like masquerading channels, purporting to stream non existent television, hackers, finding hidden phone numbers from companies happy to take your money but hide from support & round robin links & dead end searches orchestrated by the unscrupulous b*stards that plague the cyber world, it's both time consuming & feckin' intensely irritating!

So you're *****ing about it being hard for you to conduct illegal activities online? :smt046

You'd be surprised what gets broadcast around the world. I watched AFC Wimbledon v Wycombe Wanderers in the first round of the FA Cup last year in a hotel room in Mumbai.

Wycombe strolled it by the way - big ginger lad got a hat-trick.

Who said I was looking for illegal links?! :p

Some Norweigan sports channels used to receive via Sattelite (& broadcast) Premiership live in the UK (one snooker hall in town springs to mind). I've not idea on sports franchise, broadcasting sports licencing or television rights (nor care too much) but do enjoy watching my local team play! Mr Smug Pants!

Maybe, although it still sounds like a game that Setanta or ITV would have shown last year, which channels round the world would pick the feed up from.

The point is to show a game live you need lots of cameras to get the replay angles, managers reaction shots etc. To deliver highlights you can do it with one camera.

If a British based broadcaster is not showing the game live then I cannot see any other broadcaster stumping up the required infrastructure to show a FA Cup first round game live.

We've had all this before when Saints play on Fridays or Sundays and not on Sky, and it is always a blind alley.

worth a risk for 2 quid

....and there's your business plan for these sites.

If they do show it, fair play but I remain dubious!

The place charging 2 pound will just be showing the same stream

Probably others I don't know as well, really shouldn't have to pay to watch illegally streamed football.

I got rid of my Sky subsctiption ages ago and i've never had a problem with watching football online. Atdhe.net is usually the best of the lot, never have any problems with it.

For those in the USA the whole game is on Setanta at 5pm ET. Also repeated at 4.15am.

It's not live but not too long to avoid the score for. Perfect.

As an aside Swansea v Cardiff is on live at 7.40am ET on Sat morning - will make a good change from the endless Prem games we get over here.

Here's the 2nd round - bring it on :-)

txt updates from EoA for me. I'm already loving our Indie festival, but maybe tommorow morning wil be rough.

Praise The Lord and pass the Nurofen

Still in the balance what we do after the dinner.

Last night's non appearance was due to work. Still pondering about the Saturday gig. Surely 600 ml Brufen would be better

Looks to me that it is shown 2.25 hours later, which means it will be on 10.00pm UK time?

Errr - Yep. 5pm ET (Eastern Time) is 10pm UK time.

As I said - it is not live but not too long to avoid the score for.

Just wish it would actually say it was this game on my DVR - at the mo it's saying it is some Champions League re-run. This is probably wrong though - best be!

It is also listed on here:

http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/

Just remember that this is Setanta USA so not available in the UK. You can't get Setanta anymore anyway can you? Spect it will shut down here sometime soon but for the mo it is still going...
