RedAndWhite91 Posted 23 August, 2010 Share Posted 23 August, 2010 This, simple and will catch on quickly. I was sort of mocking the lack of imagination when it comes to chants that actually make it to the football, but hey, yeah ok

Ken Tone Posted 23 August, 2010 Share Posted 23 August, 2010 Would help if we knew how to pronounce his name; July Julie Gully Goolie Something else? His full name of Guilherme is probably pronounced something like guwillerm, with the uw very short, so God knows how he get Goolie as a nickname, but the song just has to be ging gang goolie watcha, as others have said. Just as long as he avoids being kicked in the nicknames! K.

Can you imagine this being sung in "rounds" with the Northam starting off and continuing the "oompah....." whilst the Kingsland massive sing the verse... then they join in the "oompah...." and the Itchen do the verse..... and then we all sing the whole verse again? No? Neither can I?!

Mr_Red Posted 23 August, 2010 Share Posted 23 August, 2010 The Puncheon Guly Show Nice. Not sure of the song element tho... Are we all going to shout 'that's the way to do it' when the opposition score? Or do we hit the person next to us with a rolling pin?

dubai_phil Posted 24 August, 2010 Share Posted 24 August, 2010 We can't ****ing sing OWTS in unison let alone THIS!! Look on the positive side though... The song's old enough for the blanket round the knees & flask of coffee brigade so they might join in... Failing that the only other idea on the Puncheon Judy theme is that Coldplay hit from a few years back that had the band as Punch & Judy characters.. Now what was that called? Can see the Northam doing Coldplay.... Hmm Coldplay - just the song for a mid-winter Tuesday night oop north
