What does Adkins need to address first?

Correct. Get the players to play with a little freedom, let them enjoy their football. Lets go on the attack and try to score a few goals in the process. Hopefully Adkins will have a coaching team with him that the players respond to well. His qualification in pschology might be a blessing too.

There's quite a few things that Adkins needs to address but I've picked the top 3 and listed them below in priority order:

1. Player confidence

2. Player confidence

3. Player confidence

1 Players must be made to Realise They are massively underperforming ATM

2 Players must be made to Realise They are massively underperforming ATM

3 Players must be made to Realise Thay are massively underperforming ATM

He could start here by instilling a little positivity and belief.

Yes, there's not much wrong, other than that. If he has anyone he might be able to bring in on loan to add a bit of pace/width, great, but I still feel we have the best squad in the division. Just need to get reorganised and back to that form we saw at Bristol Rovers.

He needs to give them a kick up the @rse the last 3 games we have been going through motions tippy tappy play no desire no tempo to our play massive lack of confidence belief & conviction.

The good thing is the players are good enough so he has something to work with I hope he is a good motivator and can get the confidence and spark back in our team.

What does Adkins need to address first???

The attitude of some "fans"

Caused by the total underachieving of the Team !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I, and the rest of us got in for free, then we'd have no grounds for complaint

But I, like you, pay good money to see what is a the moment Fred Karno's Circus

I, like you, am entitled to complain

First priority ???

Change the strip back to a SAINTS Kit

RED AND WHITE STRIPES

I agree that it would be good if we looked like the Saints again, but it ain't gonna happen this season!

His first hurdle is the same as Pardew's: to deal with the negativty and lossing mentality. There are some teams out there who never lie down and don't know their beaten. We are not one of those.

We desparately need some loans, but if he can get the Lamberts and Puncheons playing as they can, that will be a start.

He will also need to win over the fans and if he doesn't do that quickly and get points on the board he will find it a very long and hard season.

I don't know anything about the guy but he comes with a ringing endoresment from Redknapp (not sure if that is good or bad!) but let's hope he does the biz.

Pardew asked for 18 months to be judged and I think it is fair to give Adkins the same period. Unfortunately if we don't go up this year he might not make 18 months either.

Width and pace. More bite and mobility in centre midfield. An extra striking option. Give the team direction, expectation and freedom. Improve fitness. Get a win at MK Dons.

Spot on. Width and pace is such a dangerous weapon as proved last year with Papa and Antonio. Didn't Duncan mention that Papa was still being lined up for a return ?

He's been right on most things so far so hope is is right this time.

The other thing Adkins needs to do and excuse the cliche, but he needs to hit the ground running or as now is the case sprinting. Another slow getting to know you routine will end any chance of auto-matic promotion.

He's given Adkins a longer contract than he gave Pardew. That says something to me.

I thought that Pardew had three years too Alps? Oh well, as we know, contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on. Be nice if we actually had a manager stay long enough to get an extension!

Get Lambert fit

Bring in another striker on loan (Adam Le Fondre)

Add some pace to the team.

Give us options on the bench.

Have a plan A and a plan B

Bring Waigo and Antonio back.

Bring a central midfielder or two in on loan.

Win our game in hand!

Win at home!

Explain to Puncheon, in simple terms, what the white posts are for at the ends of the pitch, (and I dont mean the corner posts)

The two in the middle are there to hold the crossbar up and if the ball passes between those posts and under the 'bar then its called a 'goal', If it passes over the 'bar its called 'Row Z'
