georgeweahscousin Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 Not a replacement for Puncheon, but Sky reported that contract talks had broken down between Rotherham and Adam Le Fondre........ As for a replacement for Puncheon. How about the boy Oxlade-Chamberlain?

Alex is a start, but if he got injured or suffered a spell of poor form (as these youngsters should have the perogative to do...) then we need a little bit of cover. As for a replacement for Puncheon. How about the boy Oxlade-Chamberlain? I think Le Fondre will def. be off in January, no question. But we'll be in a massive queue for his services...i would expect championship sides to be seriously looking at him too, terrific player.
S-Clarke Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 Yeah, I was being facetious. What is Antonio doing these days? The antonio deal died a death when they were asking for obscene amounts of money for him (which they're entitled to do) We should go back in for Papa in January, he's not played all season though as he hasn't been registered in his clubs squad - so he's lacking fitness. Turkish Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 IMO he can't. He's a central midfielder pure and simple. Nexstar Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 Ivan Sproule Good shout, but he hasn't been in the squad for City's last 3 games, is he injured? Bad times for Palace this season, perhaps if we're a bit nearer the top and offer a fair whack, Neill Danns might be tempted?
Chez Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 The same people that think Chaplow is a wide midfielder are the ones that during the summer thought Harding could play centre midfield and Lambert should play for England. it never ceases to amaze me the complete and utter lack of understanding of people that watch games on a regular basis. Dazza82 Posted 17 November, 2010 Share Posted 17 November, 2010 Ben Davies from Notts county An outstanding contributor to the team's success, he carved out 17 goals and chipped in with 15 of his own throughout 2009/10. Many of these came in spectacular style and he has certainly earned the right to be known as the side's dead ball specialist. http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10426~10341,00.html

Saints67 Posted 18 November, 2010 Share Posted 18 November, 2010 Personally I don't think we need anyone. AO-C plays there and we could always swap Lallana over and bring Dickson on. Butterfield could also start on right wing if necessary if a game is past Alex's bedtime. Glad Puncheon has gone up a division rather to a rival and I think someone, somewhere will get the best out of him.

Kenny Jackett usually gets the best out of most players because really with the team they had last season they shouldn't have been above us -10 or no -10.
