  1. 1. Keeper for Tuesday

Davis is good #1 at the moment and Bart will become regular in due course. Both make mistakes but SKD - with some spectacular saves has gained us more points than he has lost. Bart yesterday a bit flat footed for first goal (but so would most) and I thought he was partly to blame for not getting down for the second but in fairness he did get a touch which was so nearly enough to push it onto the post

Forcast? hadn't realised he was still here.

I'm indifferent when it comes to Kelv & Bart, wouldn't complain with either one playing. I do like Bart at bit more after seeing and hearing him play at Barnet in pre season, shouting to the players and being very vocal, which for me put to bed any suggestions that he was shy and lacked confidence, he seemed to have no trace of a Polich accent either.

Davis only looked good in that sh*t team we had the year we got relegated. Now we have a good out field team Davis looks the weakest link in the side and must go go go!!!

What is Richard Wright up to these days? Great goal keeper for this level.

Short-term deal at Sheffield United which, if I remember correctly, should be expiring soon. Don't think he's really played for them.

There was one shot from Nani yesterday that was hit hard and bounced right infront of Bart with two of their strikers a metre or so away ready to tap any spill into the goal. He managed to hold on to it really well.

Yes, that was very good hands.

There's no doubt he is talented in many respects but it seems evident to me that he is likely to make amateurish mistakes on a fairly frequent basis. I certainly think he will cost us many more goals than Kelvin and I think Kelvin is probably better at the snap reflex saves. Given that we control a lot of matches, KD is the sort of keeper we need; someone who can pull of a "worldie" when they've had bugger all to do for 80 minutes.

Haven't voted (yet) I'm not sure it's as black and white as that. Bart put in a good shift yesterday, didn't seem over awed at all. OK he made a bit of a cock up with a clearance but so has Kelvin and many many other good keepers. He plays a different style to Kelvin, who may or may not have kept the two goals out, but what matters is that he did a good job on the day. What was mentioned during the game by us behind the goal was that, judging by some of the balls played by the backline across and to Bart they must have been quite comfortable and confident with him being there. That has got to be a positive for the whole team and it's spirit.

I can't think of any precedent for tactical selection of goal keepers, the choices are they play well and keep their place, play poorly and get dropped or play rubbish week in week out. But I see possibilities in the tactical selection of one of two quality keepers in the same way where the selection of outfielders could be tactical depending on your opponents strengths/weaknesses. Not rotation - don't agree with that - purely tactics
