Innocent Emeghara rocket lands GC (22) in England soon? Southampton has registered his interest. Marcel Meier, CEO of GC, confirmed: "I've heard about others from a contact. . But we are not interested, leave Emeghara "Emeghara have said:" I would like one or two years remain in the GC. A great club because I know what I have. "Emeghara now flies to the Caribbean. Elevate legs in the Bahamas is announced - but not for long. GC gave his rocket 10 days holiday. The fastest Swiss striker wants to absorb in a week but already in Niederhasli ZH training again.

It may not happen, but still it is a sign of activity and standard of player being looked at.

A very quick, 22 year old, Nigerian-born Swiss striker that had a lot of game time during the Euro Under 21 tournament this summer. A lot of people on this forum will have also seen him play (for a couple of minutes), as he came on at Wembley against England senior side in June for the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

And yet if someone else had posted this thread you would say it's being discussed on the summer transfer thread...

I dunno about anyone else, but I frankly cannot be ar5ed to go into these mega-threads and would much rather a thread for each individual player. Same deal with the Pompey Takeover debacle, I haven't read that since they dodged the bullet, and I'm not likely to pick it up again 200 pages later even if I am interested in the subject - it's just too much like hard work to trawl through all the guff, when you can usually tell the reality of the situation from the OP.

Tbf i think the point was more about the mind numbing pedantry of the op but I take your point.

Brilliant, a link to a player we have all never heard of saying he doesn't want to leave his current club. Any reason why you felt this was newsworthy? Probably the only relevant part of that is that he is on holiday, as our most of our squad.

Tend to agree, skimmed through the transfer rumour 'mega thread' myself but it's just too difficult to keep tabs on. Had to laugh when we started on about Owen though - what was all that about.

Personally would prefer a seperate forum where each player could be discussed individually - would be easier to sort the trash that way.

Mind you...your spiritual home the kit thread could be described as a "mega-thread"...should we have a new thread for each new mock up?!

A pint for anyone who can get his full name into a song...

To the tune of 'My old man's a dustman'...

In-no-cente Em-eg-hara, He came from Switzerland

Now he's at Southampton, He'll score up at your end.

It's not a great song... but it's a song. Mines a Becks Vier.

Yeah but I'm desperately trying to keep that on topic... and also I'm not deluded enough to think the kit design details and general content of that has broad appeal in the way the team itself does !

Plus I'll expect it to disappear when the thing is actually launched. Or maybe even Thursday. The squad stuff is never-ending.

Is this sarcastic?

Anyway, I came across this kid during some research for the U21 Championships. He was a must for any fantasy team and any goal scoring bets. I think he only scored once during the competition which was a bit annoying but he looked decent enough. Think he got a hat trick for the U21's in a friendly just before the competition which meant he pretty much nailed on his starting place for every game. As the OP says, a quick Nigerian born striker.

The quote saying he doesn't want to leave pretty much makes this pointless though.

That left-back for the second goal looks bloody quick too...but think we have a few too many left-backs atm!

The guy looks good, a trick or two...but we all now know that if its in the press it is not going to happen...so we move on an wait another day for some sort of news!! How long is it until 1st July now!!!? C'mon Nige!

Don't rate this blokes celebration, Waigo's was much better.

He reminded me of Waigo from the video, looked like they have quite similar styles, relient on being very quick and in the right place at the right time and fairly unorthodox generally. Although I was never a huge fan of Papa Waigo, he got goals, but they seemed fairly fortuitus, almost accidental even.

Didn't he score one off his arse? Loved waigo, Papa was just incredibly fun to watch if not exactly cultured.
