'Massive bid for more players'

normally he just tweets saying meeting player x about joining team x. this is an interesting tweet, although not sure what he means by "jungle drums". is this a source?

Just a saying, like 'heard it through the grapevine.'

It'll be interesting to see if there are any unexpected absentees for any teams in tomorrow's fixtures...

Don't think you can read too much into that. Lambo still played for Rovers on the Sat. fixture even though a transfer was imminent and went through on the Monday.

You'll probably see the market open up in the next few weeks though, teams lowering the valuations as they know clubs aren't going to match them and the player(s) won't sign a new contract...so they need to cash in. One player in particular springs to mind.

It was more in hope than anything else. Maynard would be the icing on the cake though.

Anything in the language used there?

...massive bid (singular) been thrown in by them for more players (plural).

Multiple players from one club? Or just clumsy twitter-English?

EDIT: Apologies beavis17 didn't see your post.

Gorkss and Mackie? Long and Alex Pearce? Maynard and Fontaine/Nyatanga?

Heard that Gorkss was at St Marys today, whether true or not my question is when is the cut off to be available tomorrow ??

Soon find out. QPR have their final pre-season friendly away at Luton tonight. If he's in their squad - I guess a deal is some way off yet.

Hoorah . . . I think?!?!

They've named a pretty strong team, bar Gorrks

QPR: Kenny, Dyer, Hill, Derry, Hall, Gabbidon, Taarabt, Smith, Campbell, Bothroyd, Faurlin.

He's not a sub either

Subs: Cerny, Hewitt, Buzsaky, Trialist, Agyemang, Ephraim, Doughty, Helguson, Orr, Andrade.
