saint1977 Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 Nice idea - how are we goig to pay him though? Lowe needs to depart now though, that's the third awful blunder after Grey and Wriggley, we'll never know with Sturrock and Lowe was unlucky with Burley so I excuse him on that one. Think I'd rather have Barclays pick our new manager than Rupert...

Andy_Porter Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 100% agree TDD. Get JP out now and get in an experienced CCC manager with total control over first team matters. No more Lowe on the sidelines before a game, no more stupid loan deals on the back of the chairmans reccomendation. Offer Davies every penny we have to save us. Do it before it's too late Lowe. Whitey Grandad Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 It's going to take someone special to turn this shower around. I'm not sure that Davies is that person but any manager who knows what he's doing would be very welcome.

The sacking of Pearson will go down as Lowe's most stupid decision yet IMO. along with deciding he knows everything about football when he knows f*!K all I have given this experiment time but enough is enough this along with him being on the pitch on tuesday issuing orders is the final straw. Can't bear to look at his smug face a second longer. call it kneejerk or whatever but till hes as far away from sfc as possible I wont be 100% happy have never liked the bloke and never will, I know someone who met him firsthand and he really is as arrogant as he comes across

Huffton Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 It doesn't matter now, its too late. The team is just not good enough, and will be further weakened in January, no manager will be able to change that without money to spend. Well done Rupert

The team is just not good enough, and will be further weakened in January, no manager will be able to change that without money to spend. Well done Rupert There is still plenty of time, give someone like Davies total control and tell him how much he has to spend on wages etc even sell Lallana and Surman. There are players like Lucketti, Perry etc who you can get on the cheap and sort the team out, someone like Davies would make us harder to beat and playing with a bit of passion and confidence. Pearson didn't spend anything and turned are season around in 12 games, give Davies half a season and he can get us out this mess.
saint1977 Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 Agree 100%. The sacking of Pearson will go down as Lowe's most stupid decision yet IMO. Yep, sums it up given the circumstances. That's without Wigley, Gray, Sturrock and SCW's crew as well. Too many errors for a CEO and in any other organisation he would have been sacked a long time ago. Time that Barclays did what none of the other muppets will do and swing the axe.

Under Weststand Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 I've wanted Billy Davies since Burley went just what we needed. As i've said before he always gets the best out of what he has & plays to there strength's. He is the sort of manager you love as your's but everyone hates. Just no chance of us getting him & we couldn't afford him even if he fancied it.

Ash Posted 13 December, 2008 Share Posted 13 December, 2008 If its not knee jerk then why didn't you post this at any other time during the last week? Because it was, it is the dictionary definition of knee jerk. Not many threads like this when we went four unbeaten a whole seven days ago, the same people who didn't give previous managers a chance are doing it again. Anyone with any semblance of a grip on reality would surely appreciate our squad isn't up to much. The fact that Lallana is being held up as one of our most sellable assets says everything. Not saying there is nobody who could do a better job, but seeing as though we aren't relegation dead certs just yet (beat Forest next week and we will be seen points clear of relegation) why don't we for stability for just a bit. Five managers in a year would be excessive even by our standards.
