Amen to all that!! I just want to feel excited about going to games, not trepidation. I want to be proud of MY football team, the one I've loved and supported for nearly 40 years, not embarrased. Unforetunately, while Lowe, Wilde, Askham and Crouch are in the picture, it aint gonna happen!

saintjay77 Posted 29 December, 2008 Share Posted 29 December, 2008 Mine: We hang on by the skin of our teeth, both Spurs and Skates are relegated. Would be happy as a pig in sh!t!! sounds good to me but if that were to happen my elation would quickly disapear as the realisation that our defence would have to try and cope with Defoe, Crouch and who ever Spuds get in this transfer window. I dont think i could handle the skates singing about how they dropped a division just so they could give us a spanking.

AussieDog Posted 29 December, 2008 Share Posted 29 December, 2008 1) We survive...both financially and in the Championship. 2) Lowe wins the Lottery, pays off our debts and hands the club over to a Saints fan with enough cash to buy some experienced players to nurture our youngsters along. (Yeah, I'm dreaming, but I like to fantasise that there is good in everyone...) 3) This time next year we are 2nd from top in the Championship, not 2nd from bottom 4) Boxing Day2009 sees us spank the Skates, and their slide back to their natural habitat continues (I'll settle for them finishing 4th from bottom of the Championship as long as we get promoted back to the Premiership at the end of next season) Am I being greedy????? St Landrew Posted 29 December, 2008 Share Posted 29 December, 2008 Lowe Out Wilde Out Something a little better than that for me. Agreed Lowe Out, Wilde Out, blah blah.. But huge takeover news not to be just rumour, but actual AND it happens over the next 30 days. The buy out only happens on condition that RL and all of his crowd sever their connections with SFC, never to return. They protest, and the present Board is subject to a humiliating stadium walkout. The Board resigns quickly [they've seen how much they'll each get], and the takeover proceeds, with Saints eventually making comfortable mid-table, as the Club become united once more. They then buy their way upwards and out of this league next season. They play scintillating football, even JP is still in charge, I don't care, as I'd like him to have a chance with players that are good enough. But basically, Lowe and Co are out and success is back for SFC. That's not too much to ask, is it..?

offix Posted 29 December, 2008 Share Posted 29 December, 2008 Some people think getting rid of Lowe is more important than survival? I think it's more a case of one depending on the other unfortunately. Obviously, short term, the goal is survival. However, EVEN if that were to happen (please, please, please let it come true) with Ru**rt and the Quisling still in charge, then we would face even more misery (and even less chance of survival) the following season(s). To answer your first point, I see no worthwhile future for this club with Lowe in charge, whether we stay up or not. If we went down and Lowe left (not that I think for one moment that the former would lead to the latter), I could at least envisage, over time, the club recovering from its current position. Happy New Year to all of you too.

John Boy Saint Posted 30 December, 2008 Share Posted 30 December, 2008 I have a Bulti Billionaire distant relative pass away after a very long and very happy life leaving me with more money than I know what to do with. I then can then buy Saints with the loose change and turn this club back into the Club all us supporters deserve. In reality I hope we survive by the skin of our teeth but in doing so our team mature into a team that is far more capable to handle the rigours of getting us up and out of this league.
