Guided Missile Posted Monday at 14:19 Author Posted Monday at 14:19 Trump just ended his 8th war in 9 months and I notice the Trump Derangement Syndrome is still strong, on this intellectual wasteland. To be expected from a Starmer stronghold, I guess. Hatred is a terrible thing, though. Once infected with it, the individual loses all sense of judgement and open mindedness. Dogma and identity politics takes over. Like watching Gaza now and posters on this site, is like watching rats in a sack... 1 3

spyinthesky Posted Monday at 18:47 Posted Monday at 18:47 I am no fan of Trump but, I guess, he has contributed positively to the freeing of the Israeli hostages. That said his description of finding a solution to a 3,000 year conflict is in line with his many other ridiculous boasts. And, of course, this initial part of the peace plan has a number of other tricky issues to resolve before he and his family and business associates can start developing the Gaza wastelands. Meantime, anyone noticed that his tie is really starting to descend further towards his crotch? 1

It’s really quite a childish trait yet you just can’t stop doing it. There are so many different, diverse opinions on here yet you have to make silly statements like “this place is to go into meltdown” as if it’s a single hive mind. Whereas in fact most people will just be thankful when the war finally stops, however it happens. 4

What I’m saying is that generally when someone has done something good, regardless of whether you like them or not, most people would have a degree of respect for that person and at least lay of the criticism for a while. If Starmer sorted out Ukraine, I think the guy is useless, but I would recognise his work in that instance and say fair play. I’d probably have the wherewithal to not start banging on about how crap he is over the following days and weeks. Some posters on here seem determined just to keep having a pop.

I think everyone has given him credit for his part in the agreement. Some people more than others, but he's received all but universal acknowledgement. I stand by the view that he has blood on his hands though for not reigning Israel in sooner, and for supplying them with so many appalling weapons. It also doesn't buy him exemption from the criticism for things that he says and does that merit criticism - life doesn't work that way, and you stamping your feet because people don't adore him is a touch soppy. 1

I hadn’t even seen this post till now. Just look at the page about and the constant barrage within the week he has helped achieve this ceasefire. If you can’t see that then I can’t help. For the record I’ve never said whether I agree or otherwise with Trumps policies and I wasn’t the one calling anyone a c&@£. What I have noticed is when someone challenges the Starmer “stronghold” the likely suspects all jump to attention and start back scratching (or worse) each other. It’s sweet but a bit weird from fully grown men. Edited 7 hours ago by Sir Ralph 1
The Kraken Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Yet again you come out with a simplistic phrase, “the likely suspects” this time, but nothing specific. It’s genuinely weird that you’re trying to identify a bunch of people you want to argue against but won’t provide specifics of who they actually are. If you’re trying to align yourself alongside drunk John then good for you, but at least try and outline exact who and what you’re arguing against, as you and him are clearly terrible at doing it.
badgerx16 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If Trump is able to bring an end to the war that is acceptable to Ukraine then that will obviously be an excellent outcome. However, why has he taken the course he has ? Why not lean heavily on Putin from day 1 ? What was the purpose of humiliating Zelensky in the White House on live TV ? Trump is erratic and unreliable, and no specific individual outcome alters that.

Why haven’t we put boots on the ground in Ukraine, been talking it up for a while. we are we still ramping up aid to Ukraine? Surely this could have been at a greater volume from the start. given this is a European war, but much to lay blame on a North American country for not ending this sooner.
