Trump is only interested in quick, easy wins and money. If he figures there is more to be made in cosying up to Russia of course he will leave Ukraine to their own devices. 
Perhaps he thinks that the tacky peace award his latest brown noser Infantino has given him in some way is equal to the Nobel prize so he doesn’t need to bother anymore?

Ukraine claim that underwater drones successfully attacked a Russian submarine moored inside Novorossiysk naval base.

Approx. 50 year old Russian cargo aircraft makes test flight after undergoing maintenance and proceeds to immediately break in half mid-flight. I’m sure it’s just a one-off and Russia’s 800 modern, state of the art fighter/interceptors are well maintained and airworthy

The current rhetoric is all about a European joined up approach to try and add pressure on Russia regarding accepting a ceasefire/peace deal.

it is entirely laughable to suggest we are all in domestic sort of war posture right now.

Today is approx 1450 dqys since Russia invaded Ukraine. There were approx 1450 days between Germany's 1941 invasion of Russia and the end of WW2. Perhaps this Russian army is not as good as its predecessor.

But in this instance the British, French, and US are supplying the other side. Also, I think Putin's army is more like the 1941 model Red Army rather than the 1945 version. Mind you, Putin does seem to have hit on a novel solution to the problem of prison overcrowding.
