Given the players who moved from us to Blackburn most seem to be a huge success. Looks like Ross is going to follow in their footsteps, massive loss but sure he’ll thrive at Ewood Park as most ex Saints seem too 1

mss636 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If you were Ross you’d be getting pretty worried. Turned down a slam dunk contract, pre season has started and there don’t appear to be many offers flowing in. For a near 30 year old with dodgy fitness a solid pre season would have been essential but if he’s not been signed now he won’t be top of anybody’s plans.

He signed for Blackburn. 2 year deal and scored a hattrick for their development team last night. Odds on to be their top goalscorer this season. We need to move on

A very rich sportsman who will certainly get another multi-million £ contract very soon. As for offer not flowing in, how do you know?
East Kent Saint Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Can't find any confirmation he has actually signed for Blackburn ?? Mention of possible talks with Saints ....

It was even publicised by a well known, very trustworthy local Blackburn journalist. Time to move on.

I doubt he's that "rich", certainly not in the "never needs to work again" category. Would have been on a League One contract with Sooonderland and we signed him in the Championship. Sure, he's comfortable, but he also didn't need to sabotage his career.

Give it to Ron Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’m sort of torn on Ross - towards the end of season he showed what a good player he is. Some very useful goals and with Larin offered us a focal point and outlet. However I find it hard to ignore the injuries, how do you be out for months for a diving header at Derby? 1
Challenger Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The club persisted with him throughout his injuries, now no doubt they will gamble on Downs from here on. 1

Blackburn are really going for it. Another dent in our play off hopes right there.

Beeb getting it wrong, saying that guy is their first summer signing, when they've already got Stewart. There will be loads of free agents waiting for clubs to make offers, all holding out for as good a deal as they can get. LND will be no different. Hoping his end of season form is enough to offset the injuries and the managed minutes in that spell. It's a risk. Some players don't get near what they want and end up not taking an offer. Others have to race to get what they can. Ross is in-between: looking for a champ/lower PL deal, but not with the experience there to back it up.

spyinthesky Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) No news on Blackburn's interest in Ross Stewart in the Lancashire Telegraph and the Rovers Forum reckons the news is bunkum including one of my mates who is a big Rovers fan. Apparently the club has a £10k a week maximum wage so would expect Ross's Agent would be looking at something north of that. Perhaps we could offer him a reasonable signing on fee plus a decent wedge each week plus a bonus on games he plays and the goals he scores. Edited 2 hours ago by spyinthesky

Cuddles Posted just now Posted just now Blackburn are running before they can walk at this point. I can see them getting promoted but surely they won't have enough to for a European push?
