I remember Dave Beasant coming onto the pitch to keep us 'entertained' whilst we were kept back for an hour.

I dealt with him on many occasions back in the day and he was always a pleasant guy - whatever your colours, every club needs players like him, and in this modern era of arsehole agents shuffling their fickle clients around at the first sign of money, Pompey have said goodbye to a loyal servant and football has lost a good one. 1
