Not in the slightest. Nor am I surprised to hear the owner is now loaning them money to survive, getting a very strong sense of Déjà vu for some reason….

Are they fucking thick this lot? (A rhetorical question I know)

Imagine putting £55 million of your own money into a club to upgrade its shitpit ground, and entire infrastructure to make it a sustainable club, yet still making a £5 million pound loss in your most recent accounts, and then have your fans telling you to invest or leave. Are they not aware of how PSR works? Talk about short memories.

Former Portsmouth goalkeeper Alan Knight has died aged 65 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

Knight spent 22 years playing at Fratton Park, making 801 appearances between 1978 and 2000 – the record for a keeper at a single English club.

Pompey fans gave him the nickname 'The Legend' and after retiring he became both a coach and ambassador for the club.

Was a cracking day out at his testominial !

I was there too. I remember Dave Beasant coming onto the pitch to keep us 'entertained' whilst we were kept back for an hour.

Alan Knight was a proper club legend, 801 appearances.

I dealt with him on many occasions back in the day and he was always a pleasant guy - whatever your colours, every club needs players like him, and in this modern era of arsehole agents shuffling their fickle clients around at the first sign of money, Pompey have said goodbye to a loyal servant and football has lost a good one.
