I am sure those on the vessel are appropriately sanctioned. 😝

What does this have to do with lifeboat operators being willing to assist a boat where the lives of these on board are endangered?

I know a lot of volunteers here in Poole, a lot. Most signed up to help & rescue local people & visitors who get into difficulties, particularly fisherman and other maritime trades vital to the local economy & well being. They did not sign up to escort economic migrants from one safe country to another. It’s the well paid woke bosses people should be criticising, not the poor blood infantry. That’s the thing with the RNLI there’s a lot of people making a lot of money out of it. The blokes putting their lives on the line aren’t, but there’s a lot of bloody people who are. The hotel & HQ must be decorated every fucking year, the ordinary suits soliciting donations make good money. They’ve got good PR, people still believe they’re all volunteers shaking buckets outside supermarkets & giving up their spare time for the community. Load of old pony, they’re ruthless bastards constant HO redundancies whilst the top brass pocket more and more cash. I’ve seen it happen in the 35 years I’ve lived here. The chief executive is on nearly 200k, had the pay stayed in line, it would be about 70k now. You lefties moan about private companies, these are just as bad. 3

Normal people will continue to give them their full support, and let's be honest, the idiots who see them as having done wrong aren't likely to be RNLI donators. 2

They'd go out for ships in distress. That's tradition. But people on holiday inflatables? Pedalos (no Portmouth, pedalos before you riot)? Give in to pressure and not assist anyone coming form the direction of France (with other directions to be added)? People with poor fashion choices? The elderly? Just anyone if there's something good on the telly?

Still waiting for you to provide some evidence that the percentage of criminals in the groups arriving on boats is much higher than the average by the way. In your own time. However, I would wager that the percentage of people involved in the protest at Eastney with criminal records is far greater than among the people they were trying to prevent entering the country. 1
