Osvaldorama Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Another fantastic appointment from Sports Republic Thanks guys 4
Baird of the land Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Such an atrocious trying to be too clever appointment. 4
Edmonton Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I’m done. We look like a complete shambles, not sure what this guy is trying to achieve , but totally out of his depth. 5
Crowds Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Shambles, sports republic can’t even get it right by accident. shit show 6
Soton7 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We fell for the hype for this tactical genius…literally got our pants pulled down…again! 7
Osvaldorama Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yeah I hope we have a trial period in his contract Doesn’t get any worse than this. 1
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We've seen no progress in several games now. No premise or signs of what we're trying to achieve. 5
Sheaf Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago After the embarrassment of last season, we needed a manager who could come in and make us a much more solid defensive unit. Still, seemingly, is not that manager. 2

Still, seemingly, is not that manager. He's not. He's inexperienced and naive and has been schooled in every game so far. We are so so easy to play against 4
aintforever Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not exactly a surprise though is it? We hired someone who never played the game, never managed in the Championship, only managed for a few seasons in France and achieved nothing. SR are a bunch of mugs, trying to be too clever and believe any bullshit agents tell them. 5

Think you’ll be surprised how many were taken in, especially after the French journalists bit on Solent 1
Gloucester Saint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Can’t survive today’s debacle, will be doing a Luton 2024/25 if this 🤡 stays in charge. Today worse than anything Nathan Jones, Branfoot, Pellegrino or Martin served up. 1
Osvaldorama Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yeah I think he has to go. We need some experience. This is beyond bad
Tommy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Turns out there is a big difference between being an analyst and being a football manager. 1
Osvaldorama Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yeah he has to go, and go now. We can’t persist with this drivel. Get an actual manager in
Lighthouse Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Having given the situation long and thoughtful deliberation, I have decided that I would like things to improve. 1
Saint86 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Rohl is still available. Knows the league and proven to be good in it... 2

Football Special Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's never really seemed that into it or that bothered either has he? 1
Tommy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just now, Football Special said: He's never really seemed that into it or that bothered either has he? Aye, I really dislike he’s nonchalant and dare I say it arrogant way of engaging with people.
O_Lord_Marian Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Luckily still available, Mowbray, Rohl and Carrick. Would take anyone above over Still, nice bloke but stick to FM. 1
RedArmy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 minute ago, Football Special said: He's never really seemed that into it or that bothered either has he? Nope. Looks just like his players, going through the motions. 1
sockeye Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I like his character but we can't go on like this. Though, the problems really start at the top IMO.

AlexLaw76 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He is well and truly out of his depth. await the likes of Alfie House scoff at fans not having him. no where near promotion with this lad - plain to see after the Pompey game. 2
sfc4prem Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's overseen a pretty abject start to the season. I like his personality and honesty but he seems a little clueless, if I'm honest. The patterns of play we produce seem rather pointless. Our defence is as limp as month old celery. If McBurnie can fucking slice us open with ease, something is amiss. What will the turning point be? We cannae go on like this. 4

Maggie May Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It beggars belief why he has last season’s joint assistant manager at Luton with him. 1

sfc4prem Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) @S-Clarke Was it you that posited the idea that our abject 12-point season last time round would have a cataclysmic impact on the whole club, one that we'd struggle to recover from? Did I remember correctly that in that post you also mentioned the thought that we may well face a relegation battle in the Championship this year as a consequence of last year's shit show? If so, you're looking pretty fucking prescient right now. Edited 1 hour ago by sfc4prem 1
SfcPhil Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I've tried to remain positive up until now, as he's had to deal with a huge turnover of players, many coming in late in the window, then the international break, but for me today was the first game with no excuses to grab hold of. To fail so miserably against a side you'd put money on finishing in the bottom half of the table, is more than worrying. As others have said, it looks like another SR "trying to be clever" appointment that hasn't paid off. I can't see a definite style of play, which is worrying after being in charge for three months. I think his lack of managerial experience is being reflected in the performances. This group of players should be more than capable of beating most teams in this league, if a capable manager was in charge. 1
Badger Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) This is a comment I posted 20th May on the ‘who do you want as manager’ thread (now locked). No idea how to post a quote from it but here’s a screenshot (of one I made earlier as they used to say) Appointment was another huge gamble, which many accepted on the back of the French journalists talk on Solent and his tactics talk with Carragher. O_Lord_Marian Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just now, CB Fry said: Russell Martin has a lot to answer for Who goes first, Martin or Still? Sheffield reacted quickly to sacking another stain on this club in Selles. Depressing really. 1 1
bpsaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Wasn’t sold on him in the first place, a whole pre season and 6 games in and it’s clear he is well and truly out of his depth. At least Russ gave us a bit of an identity before that 4 match period when the scar tissue set in, turned that around well though. Still has shown nothing, honestly we fluked a win against Wrexham and that’s all, no cohesion, no pattern of play, just eleven blokes out on the pitch playing Sunday league football. What’s the thought process each match? Where does the idea to suddenly stick Downs up top by himself come from? What the actual fuck is going on. We’re not just suddenly going to turn this around, action needs to be taken now. We know it won’t though, it’ll drag on till Christmas by which time any idea of promotion will be well and truly out of question. Edited 2 hours ago by bpsaint 4

AlexLaw76 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Has his teams get schooled by Moore and McBurnie hilariously out of his depth in this job. Fucking awful manager
Scoobysaint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I am hoping that he will come good. The players have got to take some responsibility for being so poor though. THB was a liability today, not Stills fault if he can’t win a header and gives away silly fouls. I’m more concerned with the big difference between the attitude of the front 4 and the rest of the team. The front four are making runs and looking to get in dangerous positions. The problem is that the rest of the team especially the back 4 either don’t see the runs or aren’t capable of making the pass required. Just sideways and backwards, and repeat. If so, you're looking pretty fucking prescient right now. I said something like that, yeah. You cannot underestimate the damage that happened last season, not just on the playing side either - the foundations of the entire club will have been rocked by last season. It was an humiliation on the global stage. In terms of the squad, we're stuck in this weird middle ground at the moment. Lots of new faces, but still lots of hangers on from one of the worst PL sides ever - and it shows. Is this going to stop us being competitive this year? Hard to say, but probably. Is this all Will Still's fault? Absolutely not. I don't think there's any logic in binning off yet another manager at this stage. Last season we went through 3 or 4 managers and it made no difference. We need to give someone a chance to rip the core out of this team and start it again, it will probably take a few windows, but there's no quick fix unfortunately. If we change the manager again we reset the process again. We've got to ride the pain. 5 1
Football Special Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Let's be honest, it's not just Still, transfer window was underwhelming again and didn't fix enough of our problems, don't get me started on Damion Mara today 2 1
