Good point well made.

I want us to win the play offs but not go up So pretty ambivalent

Maybe we can win the playoffs, take the money, but ask to stay down as it’s more fun.

I have wondered before if there's anything in the rules / laws than compels a team to accept promotion should they achieve the criteria for doing so.... Of course, no team would ever decline the opportunity but, hypothetically, is it technically possible...?

I was thinking that where competition has moved from regional to country wide, a club might have looked at the finances and declined. Can't imagine it being popular with fans, but better that than no club.

I see Pompey lost. Off to look at the table..

Tempered by the fact they lost to Derby who are now on same points as us. I hate Pompey getting anything but a draw last night would have been better for us.

I considered the outcome of this game before it kicked off and came up  with this. Im not really bothered about Derby, we just have to win,  Its the teams above I care about.  The more games Pompey lose, the more chance of them getting relegated, and Im not sure if there's anything that would give me more pleasure, certainly not the prospect of being in the Premier league.  Im quite at peace with that outlook.

C'mon Watford. Surely at least one of the Still brothers can do us a favour this season

Edit: Boom! 1-0 Watford. Been absolutely all over them. Wrexham have offered nothing so far.

Wrexham look crap. Moore might be a key loss for them after all ...

2-0 Watford. Just miles better all over the pitch, Wrexham haven't turned up at all.

Wrexham look jaded first half. Would expect them to mix it up at half time given a suitable Parkinson rocket. Don't count your chickens before they've hatched / jinx it.

And we still have a very tough game against Norwich to win to make the most of this.

No idea why I'm sat watching this, it's awful. No atmosphere, one-sided and they aren't THAT great ...

They’ve also got a tough game Saturday away at Sheffield United. There are very few easy games but we should be getting a minimum of 4 from the next 2

Anyone know if Elton John is hosting Ryan Reynolds and/or Rob McElhaney in his private box?

Ohhh Matron! Someone more proficient at these kind of things can find the Kenneth Williams pic

I've certainly seen it at amateur level where the finances are just not there, and the time commitment from the players is not available to enable the move up. I seem to recall that the usual mechanism is the same as phoenix companies: fold and reconstitute under a different name.

This situation will show how much Wrexham are for the fight ?!

I don't really think that's in doubt, they're going for consecutive promotions. They're up for it alright, need Watford to score again.

The refereeing in this game has been appalling, the wrexham bias is just incredible. Obrian has had enough yellow card challenges to be sent off for starters.

Aye, but time is now against Wrexham in terms of getting the win (probably jinxed it now!)
