I've got three of those on my main shuffle playlist.

In honour of the transfer thread, I'll give a bag of Ket to anyone who can guess the correct 3.

Blimey, how does anybody whittle it down to just 10. I could do a different 10 everyday for months, as I’m sure we all could.

Here is my first effort though -

Debora - Tyrannosaurus Rex

Badge - Cream

Supper’s Ready - Genesis

In My Life - The Beatles

And You And I - Yes

Baba O’Riley - The Who

Glory - Television

Tarkus - ELP (live version 1974)

Love Will Tear Us Apart Again - Joy Division

Down On Mission Street - Lloyd Cole and the Commotions

Subs bench

Street Fighting Man - The Rolling Stones

Head Over Heels - Tears For Fears

Gloria - U2

Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin

Hold Out Your Hand - Chris Squire

Cracking thread, and a welcome diversion from flirting about politics and shit we can't do anything about.

absolutely loved this thread. i dont really know where to plug a new Saints substack i've started, but because this article has a musical theme throughout, from Hot Chip through to The Beatles I thought I would share in here.

Readers, likes, subscribes appreciated - but only if merited of course.

I would also have Joy Division in a top ten, but I would go for Atmosphere.

And it's marginal but for me it edges Russ Abbott's song of the same name.

Ever wondered what the two would look like together? Wonder no more

The Best Company jumper in that just show's how Russ Abbott, much like Dale Winton, was ahead of the game when it came to dressing

I couldn’t agree more egg. The great thing about music is that no matter what your music tastes are, we all know what it feels like to be moved by music, even if we don’t agree with what is great or not.

I have over 3000 tracks on my Apple playlist and, at any time, many of them could end up in my top ten. Having seen tracks on this thread that I had forgotten about I will end up adding even more. I’d be hopeless on Desert Island Discs.

Sorry mate.  My mistake in giving the credit to Egg.   You’ve done well - your thread caused me to ponder why I sold and gave away all my vinyl and cd’s without putting them on some sort of digital keepsake.   I’ll take your “send off” as a friendly bit of banter.

Yeah, was just messing mate!

I do sometimes miss the action of loading up a CD, but I also appreciate being able to check out a more or less limitless library on the likes of Spotify.
