In honour of the transfer thread, I'll give a bag of Ket to anyone who can guess the correct 3.

yoshida4 Posted Wednesday at 10:10 Posted Wednesday at 10:10 absolutely loved this thread. i dont really know where to plug a new Saints substack i've started, but because this article has a musical theme throughout, from Hot Chip through to The Beatles I thought I would share in here. rallyboy Posted Wednesday at 13:28 Posted Wednesday at 13:28 I would also have Joy Division in a top ten, but I would go for Atmosphere. And it's marginal but for me it edges Russ Abbott's song of the same name. 2

Cracking thread, and a welcome diversion from flirting about politics and shit we can't do anything about. I couldn’t agree more egg. The great thing about music is that no matter what your music tastes are, we all know what it feels like to be moved by music, even if we don’t agree with what is great or not. I have over 3000 tracks on my Apple playlist and, at any time, many of them could end up in my top ten. Having seen tracks on this thread that I had forgotten about I will end up adding even more. I’d be hopeless on Desert Island Discs. 2

sadoldgit Posted Friday at 12:32 Posted Friday at 12:32 How did I miss Go Your Own Way/Rumours from my last list? D’oh! Anyway, yes, easier to come up with a top 10 album list (providing I stick to only one album per artist, otherwise I would struggle again). In no particular order - Revolver - The Beatles The Yes Album - Yes Rattlesnakes - Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Led Zeppelin IV The Joshua Tree - U2 Foxtrot - Genesis Out of Time - R.E.M Who’s Next - The Who Rumours - Fleetwood Mac Trilogy - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

I think coming up was the first Suede album post Bernard Butler. Definitely a more poppy sound. For me hard to pick one from First three as I thought they were all excellent but Coming Up just edges it for me for personal reasons. so Young is in my top 10 songs list, also love Wild Ones, Metal Micky, Drowners Heroine and New Generation. Thought they lost their way a bit after that probably because Brett Anderson was spending all his time chasing the dragon but Autofiction is a brilliant album. All in all though always been a big Suede fan Edited yesterday at 14:04 by Turkish 1

Head Music was a bit of a disappointment. I think they went a little bit off my radar after that album. Saw them at Portsmouth Guildhall last December, and they were still as good if not better sounding than back when I last saw them. 1
