Fact 1 - Baz has made one decent save so far? I'd say stretching it a bit to say he's been good, we do know he was fucking terrible for two years previously- source - our eyes. 

Fact 2 - we needed to get a proper goalkeeper in to then displace error prone hologram Baz and make us stronger. 

The constant managed decline of this football club is painful to watch. 

Lots have been highlighting this weakness for years now, would have signed Stokes keeper when available at Rotherham

I can't believe we are going to start another season with Bazunu and McCarthy as our goalkeeping options - a situation that would have been unacceptable at the start of this window until Bazunu showed a few games of good form. Seriously disappointing.

The comments on here are fecking ridiculous. Clearly an improvement on Lumley, actually has a lot of experience in the EFL. For a 3rd choice he is fine, in fact could argue he has a better chance than McCarthy. Baz is #1, AM is experienced backup, Ramsdale might be back next season (probably not). Apparently he's shit based on comments from Norwich fans on their board (just like what our 'fans' suggest about every single player). Taking up a loan space is clearly not an issue, we are only going to get 1 or 2 loans in at most, we already have a bloated squad. He also scores as many goals as anymore our strikers. Welcome George, hope we never actually see you in a Saints team, but I'm sure if we do you won't be much worse than what we have.

Because it's not true. We replace Ramsdale with Baz, we replaced Lumley with Long. Don't get me wrong Baz is a huge drop from Ramsdale, but this guy appears to be a bit of a step up from Lumley (not difficult).

Because I don’t have a problem with Bazunu being our keeper, neither have the past five consecutive managers who chose him over McCarthy and I won’t be the least bit upset if we get, "promoted in spite of him," again.

The people running the club don’t hate Bazunu half as much as a small contingent on this message board. So far this season he’s done nothing wrong and has had a large say in three of the four points we’ve scored.

Agree. Giving Long the contract extension was the first big red flag. But this playing out through the press is mind bogglingly naïve. I was happy to give him the summer transfer window and another year, but this is beyond inept. He's clearly way out of his depth

I see there's comments around 'Ramsdale is coming back, so we can't block his position' bullshit. He'll probably be off anyway so why plan for that. You go out and there and buy better than Bazunu or McCarthy as that is where we are today, then when Ramsdale comes back we bin off Bazunu/McCarthy and have two competent goalkeepers.
