SR have had the time, knowing we were going straight down to put a plan in place for this season.

There were even suggestions they were building a stronger base to make a better go of it this season.

To their credit, we certainly have the resources to build one of the best squads in the division.

So, we should be aiming for automatic promotion.

I think we've a weaker side than last time, and short in some key roles. So, where RM got us 4th, I'd not be surprised to see us fighting for a playoff place.

Automatic is the realistic SR aim for the season. Not getting promotion would be a failure.

Between 8th and 6th. The new players look good on paper to its a matter of how long will if take to get the starting 11. A consistent starting 11 being our best players. If we beat Pompey with the new players making a big impact then we have made progress. For top 2 you need to score plenty of goals or grind out 1-0 s via possesion with solid defending.

Start the season with this squad and I'd say we'd possibly finish Champions. It's early days but while we are a few points behind the top 2, we could easily make that up. 

Personally I have us down as play-offs - 3rd or 4th, but I'm not so sure there will be the same competition at the top as there was 2 years ago - and I don't think Ipswich or Leicester will run away with it. It will be closer fought and that is probably a good thing for us. I'd place us higher but I want to see how the new players perform and gel before rating us too highly.

I asked my wife who knows everything about anything, and she said we failed to get a big muscular striker, our kit looks nice, and why didnt I put the shelf up she asked me to...ohhh and we will finish top 6

Jokes aside, there really is no excuse for us finishing anything less than second. On paper the best squad, a larger squad with a depth of talent and ability.

I think it comes down to who wants it more, what formation we play etc.

I would say there is no excuse for not being promoted this season, but early performances aren’t the most exciting. Hoping this will change the more into the season we go.

We will NOT go up. For reasons I have given on many occasions. We do not have a strong enough core. To many fancy footed players that will get kicked into row Z in this league.
