To bad Potter took the Swedish National Team job. Would have loved him.

Not sure he would take the Saints job though.

Want an experienced Manager now. Would like Benitez, O'Neil or maby Hassenhyttl.

Many people have suggested getting a manager that's tough and will kick our players into shape, but maybe thats the wrong approach.

Maybe our players need a friendly shoulder and lots of positivity to get the best out of them.

Step forward Mr Gareth Southgate 👀

Dave Merrington famously once said modern football players are like egg shells.

What’s Rafa Benitez up to these days?

Would bite your hand off for him

Have we got a list of managers we interviewed before Will?

We went back in for Jones after turning us down in the summer. We went back in for Juric too if memory serves?

Only two names I recall are Rohl and Tom Cleverley.

Unless Rohl has decided in two weeks that Glasgow isn’t for him, we can forget that one.

Cleverley - I don’t think he was as bad as many suggested from his time at Watford- hasn’t done anything at Plymouth  to reconsider the option

Wasn't Tom Cleverley entirely based on the fact he went to a youth game at Man City (near his home) where they happened to be playing our kids one night. I am not sure he was ever actually in the frame.

Ralph would smash the fuck out of this league with that squad.

Would he ?

Only if he is fully recharged since his time with us, not sure if he has.
Also it seems our current squad have a few delicate little flowers who need their egos massaging to get the best out of them. From what we’ve read recently man-management didn’t seem Ralph’s strong point. (More of a reflection on players than him perhaps).

But, if Spors is intent on appointing Eckert I could see a case for Ralph coming back as an older head or mentor.

Lampard’s name is starting to come up. Fucking no chance 😂

Honestly if he walked out on Coventry to come to us he would look an absolute prick. Would be career suicide for him.

Apparently it's Trollope for the rest of the season, then Lallana to take over in the summer.

Trollope who assisted the guy they've just sacked. You really couldn't make it up.

Too expensive and would want to control player purchases, if any.

We have a significantly bigger wage budget than Coventry and our managers are involved in transfer decisions. Persuading him to leave a top of the league team would be the issue, not money.

Didn't we used to get linked to Carlos Carvahal here and there a few years ago? I might have imagined that.

He's out of work, knows the league, experienced etc.

I am happy to predict that the new manager will be someone we have never heard of, has never managed in England before and will sacked before  the end of the season

I just think his style, whilst occasionally suicidal in the Prem, would be ideal for the Championship. I don’t get the man management thing, he got Ward Prowse and Ings in the England team, he even made Broja look a decent player.

I doubt he would come back and work for these clowns anyway so it’s probably a pointless discussion.

Of course it would be welcomed, Flynn and Cpt Jack get their days off and don’t have to run around too much.

Of course they'd welcome him back - all mates together and as many days off training as they want. What's not to like. Not sure the majority of the fan base would be too happy though.

If RM is seriously being considered, then SR have one hell of a fucking screw loose.

They might realise that the first time he steps out from the reaction.

I'd be finished with the club. No way should that smug fucker be anywhere near this club again.

Yep ditto. That would be truly curtains. Bowing to the likes of THB, Manning, Downes and Bazunu. That’s not a club I could ever support.

This is SR’s Glenn Hoddle moment…

Alfie House says he’s not well liked within the Club hierarchy, to be honest I’m surprised by that as I always thought SR wanted to keep him but we were so bad in the PL that it wasn’t credible…
