Female co-commentator is a difficult listen, just so dull in the delivery. Shite.

It’s Sweetman-cock isn’t it?

Should be 3 or 4-0 but is wasteful.  Scienza is getting a free pass down the left.  Welington is streets ahead of Manning defensively and links well with Scienza. Stewart so far has made a difference without putting too much pressure on goal. Think the Ref bottled the pen call - it was pretty obvious - and generally Utd are getting away with some niggly challenges but the Ref/Lino's are blind to it.

The commentator said the Utd forwards were isolated and that's because we had a midfield to stop much of their forward passing - the back 4 was not hindered to achieve this...are you reading this SR?

PLEASE - be brave Tonda - stick to the plan...it's working FFS!

Finally a team that allows us plenty of time to, not only play endlessly around the back, but gives us the midfield when we remember it's there.

27% was played in our final third. That's more than in theirs, but consists nearly all of our very patient passing.

We look very comfortable. Scienza has had space to cut in, leading to the deflected goal.

We finally have a wide player on the park with a tall player. Stewart is rusty, and hasn't always linked up perfectly. But what a difference to have some sort of outlet.

Only one in it, so we can't be complacent. They have some strength on the bench.

For once just keep it tight for the first 15 after the break, and then kill it off with another around 60 to 70.  Nice and boring.

Chris Wilder has never beaten Southampton, he's never, in fact, got a point.

He's lost all five previous encounters with the Saints, only against Liverpool has he coached more games without picking up a point (six).

A Stewart goal soon after HT would be good though before he has to be withdrawn to protect him from injury!

Stewart has been excellent

If only we could keep him fit. But its surely only a matter of time till he goes down again. We need to sign cover!

he really has. He certainly isn't tentative. he's giving everything. we need to be careful how long he gets and have a proper plan for Armstrong

When is Tonda boy going to panic and bring on the 3rd cb

Soon. We've shown some positives today but this is the critical point in the game where we can turn 3 pts into 0pts unless we get the subs right.

What on earth gets said at half time!!!!

We come out slow and lethargic second halves.

We’ve been doing this for years, it’s mental!!
