From 9-0 to our dumping ground. Hopefully Rusty will take over soon and take Gav “if I was looking for a keeper it’d be him” Bazunu off our hands to complete the set.

Hopefully our new, immovable defence can repel any attacks they have and our goal machine new striker can continue his record of a goal every 24 minutes to give us a comfortable victory

Strange game, playing them twice in the space of a few days.

Obviously Leicester are without a permanent manager currently and on a poor run of results, but when I look at their starting XI it really isn't that bad.

They've had a man sent off in both of their last two games so results a bit distorted playing with 10 men.

I fear Tonda tries to counter Leicesters pace and makes changes at the back.

Some thoughts from the opposition :

I see they signed Lascelles should be a good signing for them

Hopefully he's lacking match fitness as hasn't played much for last couple of seasons, but did think was a decent bit of business for them

Broadly agree although had a lot of serious injuries. But if helps them stay up it’s a very worthwhile signing.

One thing for sure - we are going to need to keep Fatawu quiet. I’m just hoping that Tonda doesn’t think we need to rotate and go back to ‘no manning land’ against the best winger in this division.

We've only sold a few hundred tickets for this, looks set to be comfortably our smallest away following for the last few seasons

Has M1 not been released yet or have we sold that bit?

Otherwise its just the gey dots in M2 and M3 about 340!!

Coach 1 and 2 still available and coach 3 not even available.  Normally I book the coach when only coach 3 and about 10 seats left.

Good for the drinkers as won't be a queue not for a piss HT.

Do I need to bring some books for the Saints library!

Defence unchanged.

Maybe bring Charles in for Jander (assuming Downes fit) just to keep people on their toes.

Hopefully Larin pushes for a starting spot in time, but he's probably still getting up to speed.

M1 never on sale and  half the grey dots in m3 were already showing when went on sale must be player comps etc. Which we know are sometimes left empty anyway,  tiny away support

They think their full backs are awful - Thomas and Ricardo Pereira. If they play, we need Leo and Tom to rip them apart. Apparently Lascelles had a decent debut but he's no spring chicken. Aribo in midfield speaks for itself. They won't have Decordova-Reid as he was sent off who is one of their better players. Their strikers are also shite. Basically if we can keep Mavididi and Fatawu quiet (Bree and Welington need to be as good as they were yesterday) then we should be able to get a result. Reading their forum they think they should be building their team around their younger players, Monga, the recently loaned Mukasa, Kristiansen and Aluko. It will be interesting to see how many of them play on Tuesday.

As for us, I'd start with an unchanged team again providing Downes is fit (Charles if not). That means Stewart starts again with Cyle to come off the bench later on. A point isn't enough against them if we want to get to that play-off spot really - they are in disarray so this is one of the remaining fixtures we should be looking to get three points from. BUT we have to play better offensively than yesterday.

Can see a flukey Leicester win to bring us back down to earth.

But then I think we’ll beat them on the cup down here.

We're 14th in the Championship, we don't need to be brought back down to earth

Just realised Aribo can't play against us. That's a shame. 😁 Harry Winks the obvious replacement then.

I guess when the game got rearranged and we were doing badly, most people thought sod it I won't bother.

Maybe now we're in a bit of form and it looks like we have something to fight for, it's just a one off.

I'll be there in any case.

Really poor following. Probably been quite a long time since such a low one in the league.

Genuinely struggling to think when we last took so few away, possibly Sunderland midweek January 2003

Maybe one in L1? Think we had about 500 at Oldham midweek when we won 6-1.

Played Rochdale midweek too that season I believe so that was probably a small following as well.

Rochdale we took good numbers as it was rearranged and lots wanted to tick the ground off?, in fact that season was impressive Hartlepool midweek had about 800 up there , Oldham is a good shout midweek in January but again was a ground we hadn't played at for a while.

Leicester seems to be perfect storm of short notice/ midweek / poor form / played there loads (every year) , didn't expect it to be popular but thought we'd get at least 1000 up there

He won't change a winning team unless Downes is unfit. Expect yesteday's line up.

On the other hand the "winning team" included Charles, Larin and Edozie. I suspect Charles will start regardless of Downes' fitness. But I suspect he will start with Scienza (unless his poor performance yesterday was in part due to some minor issue) and Stewart. It would be good to see a largely settled side, it does almost pick itself now. Hopefully Bragg will be back on the bench.

Was just having a browse on the UI and Salisbury Saint, who's generally pretty reliable, is saying around 850 sold up to now if correct. Probably get a few lastminute, coms, so should have similar numbers to what Leicester brought to St Mary's recently. This is an easy midweek away game to give a swerve tbf.

When we played them before with manning he dropped stephens for quarshie for the pace, will be interesting to see if he's happier with welington's pace for fatwu

No Bragg for the U21s so he may be in contention if Downes is unfit. I'm not sure Charles is a Downes replacement, nowhere near the energy levels.
