Fair point.

Arsenal are away to Man City the weekend before

No idea about champions league, assuming they get through

Weekend before is international break isn't it ?

Can’t see it being Good Friday. TNT seem pretty adamant on their promoting for the quarter finals it’s the 4th and 5th.

There are currently no mid week championship games for us for the 2 weeks after the fa cup match. So the Wrexham match could be rescheduled from the Monday to the Tuesday or Wednesday, depending when our cup match is, and the Ipswich match the following mid week.

Let's face it, we won't win. But, arsenal won't sit back and so we can play counter attacking just like at Fulham. So I reckon we'll give it a good go.

Champions League 1/4 final that week if they get through. So more likely to be Friday than the Monday.

Have the FA had a QF weekend falling on Easter before, and if so was a match scheduled for Good Friday ?

As logical as some of the arguments are, I'd imagine the final say on the fixtures and timing will be with the broadcasters. If they've already designated the slots for Saturday and Sunday then that's when the game will be.

Seems likely,  two Saturday and two Sunday

Of the teams involved you'd think Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool will all want a Saturday fixture with possible European ties the next week. Although i suspect the TV companies will just insist on the scheduling so someone - Pep or Arteta- will be bleating about it.

League Cup final v City then 2 international games all over the place for Arsenal players. They're all internationals and they really are going to be all over the place. Brazil are playing France and Croatia in the USA.

Arsenal are not away the weekend  before. It is the international break  and their match v Citeh is at Wembley in the League Cup final.

Players should be right up for a game like this, especially at home. Arsenal's games could be really squeezing up and whilst they're a top side, I suspect Arteta will rest a few players and we might just have a small chance. My Dad always said there's usually one big shock per round, so maybe that'll be us.

Just remember guys a few weeks ago I predicted we would never lose a game ever again. Since then we are unbeaten.

Well to be fair if you'd told me in August Saints would get to the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup this season I'd have been pleased. Anything else is a bonus.

We're the underdogs and we're at home.

I for one hope you'll be repeating this message for the rest of the season.

The best time to play Arsenal is always the tail end of the season. When their hopes and dreams fade from the confidence of how this time is going to be different to a slightly less Tottenham version of Tottenham.

Yeah we forfeited that game

In fairness, and as someone who normally hates weakened cup teams, we had literally just made the league cup final so I found that one quite forgivable.

Ah, bollocks. Arsenal unlikely to want to play on the Friday as it is straight after the international break.

Honestly is an appalling weekend to plan the FA Cup quarter finals.

I hope the club don't take the piss with pricing, can't be arsed with hundreds of Arsenal fans everywhere.

Surely better to just get the ground packed out with decent pricing?

They won't play their first team against us anyway, after they've had a League Cup Final followed by 2 international games. Arteta will be working with the reserves who aren't away playing for their countries and World Cup selection. Brazil have 2 games in the USA. I don't know if Spain's game v Argentina scheduled for Qatar will be moved or postponed, but their players are going to be flying all over the place.

I like this, hoping the majority of their squad are scattered across the globe during the international break where an escalation of ww3 sees all flights grounded and players stranded, we then beat Arsenal's kids and secure our path into a Wembley semi final appearance. Make it happen Don 👍

Reckon they’ll move Leeds v Wham/Brentford to Monday night so they can televise the draw for the semis too, and as mentioned before 4 of the sides could well still be in the champions league. Wouldn’t be surprised if they wait till next Thursday to announce the fixture dates.

How many internationals do we have?

Off the top of my head I can think of Larin, Manning, Azaz, Charles and Peretz.

Any others?

THB, England's John Stones replacement. 😁

I checked our record in the 6th round.

City 21/22 - lost

Bournemouth 20/21 - won

Wigan  17/18 - won

United 04/05 - lost

Wolves 02/03 - won

United 95/96 - lost

Norwich 91/92 - lost replay

Brighton 85/86 - won

Sheffield Wednesday 83/84 - won replay

Arsenal 78/79 - lost replay

Bradford 75/76 - won

Forest 62/63 - won second replay

Spurs 47/48 - lost

7 wins 6 losses

There were some earlier “quarter final” appearances but they weren’t 6th round proper, all wins though, 5 of them.
