Is what funny mate?

Naming three black former Saints players. 1 of the 3 eligible for Ghana and asking if they were going to be playing for Ghana tonight.

Your posts show a decent understanding of football so it’d be unusual to not realise Bella-Kotchap and Mane weren’t eligible to play for them tonight.

So is the joke that they’re black so might be playing for an African team or are you making another point/joke?

So what was your point?

Given your football intelligence means you’d know Mane and Bella-Kotchap wouldn’t be playing for Ghana.

I genuinely might have missed something so please help me understand.

Again, help me because I’m not getting it from the thread.

What I’ve seen is your understanding is players born in England could have played for England which means players born black could play for Ghana?

Less of this bickering and more pointing and laughing at Joe Harts drawn on hairline

Maybe he's half black?

Either way, much better pundit than most.

Some dreadful barnets in this match.

And then there's Jordan Ayew who probably wishes he had a dreadful barnet.

Can't blame him for choosing serial winners Germany over us, ditto Olise with France. But it's frustrating Haaland chose Norway who have no chance of winning (often not even qualifying).

Don't think Haaland ever made a sporting choice between the two. The question was more "am I English or am I Norwegian?"

Scratch that - he now has a fancy bandage covering up the bald.

What happens if a team keeps possession of the ball for the next 25 minutes?

A challenge for Russell Martin if ever there was one

Utterly boring so far. Going to end 0-0

It hasn't been great. But we're done with the first quarter. 3 more quarters to go. 😜

3 minute injury break 3 minutes later break for a 3 minute hydration break what a joke

Don’t be mad - they are playing in 19 degrees C. Player welfare must come first

If there was ever a man that could accomplish that...

On the plus side it gives Tuchel the chance to have a go at them.

I used to be very confused about Djed Spence. Slightly annoyed, even, as I felt he was 'stealing a living' playing professional footballer. Didn't begrudge him personally for that, fair play. He is no better an attacking left back as I was at his age and if I had been able to get away with it, I sure would have. But it seemed to make a mockery of what it supposedly took to 'succeed' in football.

The fact he is now starting for England in the World Cup has made me reappraise him entirely:

Just shows the kids; it's not about pure natural talent, or working hard every day, or even being very lucky. Life is just random as fuck. It really can happen to anyone!

And for that life lesson he is currently my favourite England player. Marvelous really.

Scruffy game. Too many stoppages as well.

Ghana want the point, they've offered virtually nothing in attack. It's just up to us to find a way to break them down. I hope we bring Palmer on to unlock things. 🤓

Well we now know who will score the winning goal in the WC final. 😁

Pundits were getting carried away before game marvelling at everything England have done in their prep. Was all OTT - this is more like the England we know

I’m watching Bear Grylls on the other screen. Got an acca on Algeria, Portugal, England to win and Bear to eat a dead pine marten.

If he eats it alive will they still pay out do you think?

Stupid booking for Rice. Trying to win the game by himself.

Can't begrudge him trying to get to that. Just fractionally late and it looked worse than it really was.

A left side of Spence and Gordon really is piss-poor.

Beyond pace and the odd trick I still don't fully get what Madueke offers either.
