Pilchards Posted Tuesday at 20:37 Posted Tuesday at 20:37 I see Wolves are looking strong for the Championship campaign this year. Kieran Trippier signing on and now rumoured to be going back for ex favourite Jimenez.

I think Jimenez would be a great signing for Saints on a rotation basis, but that's the thing we do well, rotate.

In theory maybe; in practice, I'm really not convinced. 3
Willo of Whiteley Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Five years ago they were different players. They could easily have the impacts of Walcott or Romeu on their return. 2
Pamplemousse Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago We'll see how much scar tissue Wolves have. Other than a bit of a resurgence for a month or so, they were utterly shit for the most of the season

CheshireSaint Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Pointless signing I reckon. As Saints proved, it's no good planning solely on getting out of the League 1, unless you plan on coming straight back down again. Signings ideally have to be good enough as is, with potential or a ceiling to better themselves in the Prem. If successful, Trippier and Jimenez will be another year older than now. Player tend to drop off a cliff rather than marginally deteriorate once past their best. We shall see.

AlexLaw76 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Surprised Wolves are not going for a young upstart from the German 2nd Division to lead the line 2

Saint NL Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Not strictly championship, but if they need to sell then I can't imagine any PL teams will be interested.

Saint NL Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cd7wn0erlvwo McKenna leaves Ipswich. (Not technically Championship)
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Wow, shame he couldn't do that during the season just gone. Edited 13 hours ago by JohnnyShearer2.0 2
CSA96 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Not sure where else to put this but... Wolves sacking Rob Edwards: 1
Willo of Whiteley Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 11 minutes ago, CSA96 said: Not sure where else to put this but... Wolves sacking Rob Edwards: Imagine leaving a team that was top of the Championship for a team destined to get relegated from the Premier League, get relegated with one of the worst efforts to stay up and then get sacked before the following season starts having agreed a deal to bring back their former star striker. Wolves could be just as funny as West Ham this season. 🤣
woodsaint1 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 12 minutes ago, CSA96 said: Not sure where else to put this but... Wolves sacking Rob Edwards: After signing Jimenez and Trippier, and then having Edwards on to talk about them both. Trippier even praised Edwards. 😂😂 Can only be a good thing for us as Edwards knows the Championship well and has had success
Willo of Whiteley Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago 18 minutes ago, CSA96 said: Not sure where else to put this but... Wolves sacking Rob Edwards: Would be equally as funny to see that fraud Fabrizio called out on more bullshit like he was a week ago
Maggie May Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 5 hours ago, CSA96 said: Not sure where else to put this but... Wolves sacking Rob Edwards: Doubt this is true. Also, Edwards still lives rent free in Boro fans’ heads. He’s branded “the rat” They just can’t let anything go. He had barely half a season with them.
CB Fry Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Bizarre. Surely (like Adam Armstrong) Rob Edwards was hired for this season, not last? If it creates chaos at a clear promotion rival then hopefully good for us.
Badger Posted 27 minutes ago Posted 27 minutes ago Wolves trying to recreate the Nuno position of having a Portuguese manager with the Portuguese agent link (assuming he’s still involved). Yet they allowed Edwards to start assembling a squad with more domestic players, Armstrong and Trippier
hypochondriac Posted 20 minutes ago Posted 20 minutes ago Totally bizarre and I bet Rob edwards is regretting leaving boro. Personally if we have to sack Tonda I'd consider him here.
Saint NL Posted 9 minutes ago Posted 9 minutes ago I'm very very happy that Boro didn't get promoted, but it would have been very funny if they had after Edwards sacking
