Sarnia Cherie Posted Monday at 22:55 Posted Monday at 22:55 (edited) Well deserved win for Harry Kane. A great footballer and a decent family man. A positive role model for young lads today. Edited Monday at 22:56 by Sarnia Cherie Add words 30
Turkish Posted Monday at 22:57 Posted Monday at 22:57 Well deserved like you say a great role model 1
Lighthouse Posted Monday at 23:32 Posted Monday at 23:32 Thoroughly deserved, you have to say. In an alternate universe he might well have ended up playing for us, if J Rod hadn’t landed awkwardly at the Etihad. 1
SNSUN Posted Monday at 23:35 Posted Monday at 23:35 Well deserved - I really don't think he could have done much more over the last year or two to prove he's one of the very best in the game. I would have put Mbappe close but to be a traditional centre forward and bang in as many as he has done is amazing. And, as has been said, he is a good role model, family man and seems to be quite humble. Every now and again I point out to the wife that the only club he's played for and never scored for is Norwich. I'll remind her again in the morning.
Colinjb Posted Monday at 23:36 Posted Monday at 23:36 Amazing, from dodgy loan spells at Leicester, Norwich and Millwall to utterly catching fire. A model pro and credit to our country. One of the best players in our nation's history.
Nordic Saint Posted Tuesday at 00:21 Posted Tuesday at 00:21 (edited) Thoroughly deserved. He is a fantastic footballer. He's so much more than just a goal scorer. His passing is sublime, he reads the game so well and he inspires the players around him. This year, we're really getting to see just how good his technical ability is now that he's playing in a deeper role. What a great role model he is. Edited Tuesday at 00:58 by Nordic Saint

Has the same goal celebration as J-Rod (the one where he jumps up).
Stripey McStripe Shirt Posted Tuesday at 03:56 Posted Tuesday at 03:56 Good achievement. Did Finn Azaz come second? Also massive congratulations to Alexia Putellas of London City Lionesses for winning the women's award. Fantastic for the WSL. 1
Kenilworthy1959 Posted Tuesday at 08:04 Posted Tuesday at 08:04 Will always be grateful for the handball at Millwall in 2012 that gave us the winning penalty. 1 1
whelk Posted Tuesday at 08:08 Posted Tuesday at 08:08 People keep saying he is a great role model but on the Spurs documentary series he swore a lot and I was quite upset. 1

Seem to recall the ball was a few metres away from his hand, but let's keep quiet about that in case Boro decide it's worth of a retrospective points deduction.

Also did anyone notice the skin colour of the people who finished second and third? Typical racist FIFA giving it to the white guy.
JohnnyShearer2.0 Posted Tuesday at 08:53 Posted Tuesday at 08:53 Well deserved. He's been so consistent over the last two years.

iansums Posted Tuesday at 10:08 Posted Tuesday at 10:08 Agree with all of this, thoroughly deserved. A mention too for Bukayo Saka and his 'Socrates' award, another great role model.

Also, we got the reflected glory of winner George Weah's definite cousin Ali Dia playing for us. I wonder if they'd already decided on Bree before yet another cracking goal at the weekend. 1
St Louis Posted Tuesday at 10:39 Posted Tuesday at 10:39 Did you know... Harry Kane was once on loan at Saints? At least, according to John Motson and MOTD 🤔 1 1

Saint Matty 76 Posted Tuesday at 11:39 Posted Tuesday at 11:39 Seems a really good bloke and definitely the best English player of my lifetime. A huge shame he's never got over the line internationally, and always disappointed somewhat in the big moments, but you'd assume he has one (perhaps two) more opportunity/opportunities to correct that. If he can finish his career with an international trophy and a Champions League, he probably goes down as the best English footballer ever?

Little did anyone know he’d be voted the best player in the world 15 years later. Shame he doesn’t have more trophies to his name, he deserves them. Hopefully he can lift the European Championship at Wembley in 2 years. 1

They gave it to a black player last year.

Swearing, although sometimes is upsetting, is useful to the user to add further emphasis on the point he/she/ they are trying to make. Swearing at times is also useful if you are trying to have a conversation with someone who is of a lower social demographic to yourself. I can provide examples if required. Channons Windmill Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Harry Kane. First Ballon d’or winner to have come on as sub vs Yeovil Town.
Saint_John Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I thought Harry's hand of god in the 88th min when he was on loan at Millwall was the best. That was the season when we went up second, but had been showing signs of the pressure and WHU were getting close in 3rd. Well done Harry a 88min Pen to win the game for us. About 6min in 1
