Best not playing - groin surgery. But they've got some decent strikers that I wouldn't mind seeing in a Saints shirt. Err, just seen that Leon McK is out injured, so its gonna be Morrison and Eastwood then - Eastwood has not impressed this season.

A Coventry win would just be a stay of execution for us, delaying the inevitable.

Having seen the last 30 mins of last nights game Burnley will murder us on Saturday. They easily soaked up Sheff Utds aerial bombardment, were fast and exciting on the break and their wingers actually got to the by line and put in some wicked crosses to Paterson (?) who looked pretty handy and Blake will always be a threat with his shooting and our tendency to back off and concede spectacular 30 yarders.

Burnley know that a win against us will put them 3 games away from The Prem. Expect them to come out all guns blazing and try and repeat the first 10 mins of the game at Turd Moor ... 0-3

Whats that line from Clock Watching .... Failure I can cope with, it's the faint hope of success that I can't :p(or something similar)

Of course I'll be screaming for a Cov win tonight, it must be the sado -masochist in me ;)

Coventry have won just 1 of their last 9 league games - and that was a 1-0 win at home to Doncaster Rovers.

The Sky Blues' injury woes have continued ahead of the game with the news that captain Scott Dann will miss the remaining three matches of the season.

The centre-half was forced off with a groin injury midway through the second half of their 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Dann joins fellow defender Stephen Wright (knee), midfielders Jordan Henderson (foot) and David Bell (ankle) and forwards Leon McKenzie (Achilles) and Leon Best (groin) in recently having their campaigns prematurely ended.

Having said all that - Barnsley are chasing their first league win in 7 matches.

Therefore - my money is on a draw.

Coventry's run in has so far done everything possible to assist in relegating us, I'm not expecting any favours from them tonight either...

Their last three results, against other relegation rivals...

Football League Championship Plymouth 4-0 Coventry 11-04-2009

Football League Championship Coventry 0-0 Charlton 13-04-2009

Football League Championship Nottm Forest 1-0 Coventry 18-04-2009

It doesnt matter what happens tonight as we aint gonna beat Burnley on Saturday we have been c**p all season at sms and burnley looked awesome last night and still need points for play offs.

Actually we were quite good against Preston and Cardiff for a bit...

Burnley don't really need any more points for the play-offs, they're already 5th and Swansea or Preston losing either of their remaining 2 games pretty much sees them in. I'd also quite like to see Derby beat Reading to ease Burnley's concerns and assist our cause (but not as much as I'd like to see Barnsley lose).

I feel as brassed off as the rest of us BUT IF we win the last 2 regardless of tonights result, I think we will have enough taking Forest and Norwich down. However, just for the ultimate kick in the teeth we will then get docked the 10 points and go down anyway. No points deduction, 2 wins and the miracle will be complete! Won't happen though............will it??????

I think if Barnsley win tonight, only one of Barnsley and Forest need to get only 1 point each in their last 2 games between them to pretty much send us down, I think? Am I right?

I reckon if things stay as they are tonight and Forest get a point on Saturday about 10000 people will actually turn up at SMS on Saturday.Because we will have been relegated for sure, maths or no maths.

I wonder if anything "exciting" will happen at the match?

We could overhaul both of them on goal difference (If Barnsley lose by something like 4 goals over two games and we won by 4 goals across two games).

As for Forest we would have to beat Burnley 1-0 and Forest 2-0 or something like that.

Nothing outrageous, but still a very big ask.
