Hooiveld next to Fox worried the shyte out of me; Hooiveld next to a decent left back wouldn't be so bad. Gazzaniga is the one that truly scares the wee out of me when I see his name on the team sheet. He's not Prem quality by far.

Been having a look on WBA forums, they're actually pretty happy with their transfer business, which is something after they were pretty much unanimously angry about Irvine being appointed. I do think they're in for a long season though, even going through what we have this summer, I still think Saints are in far better shape than some clubs in this division.
-
I believe De Vrij is Man Utd bound too, so you'll be disappointed there too. IMO we will lose Morgan, Lovren and Osvaldo this summer but keep Ramirez. So we need a GK, 2 CB, 1LB, 1AM and one more striker. Though we could do without the AM at a pinch. So Forster and Van Dijk from Celtic, Vlaar from Villa, Any capable left back, don't care who, Redmond, and Ings. (Which means not replacing Morgan. I think we have enough central midfield competition as it is.)

I can't see the corner taker but I'm assuming it was Ward-Prowse, he has a unique way of taking set pieces!

A back 4 of Rafael, De Vrij, Hummels, Shaw is a pretty tasty back 4 for them next season. They have nothing to worry about.

£25 million to Liverpool, £20 million to any other top 4 English side, £16.5 million to anyone not in this country. :-D

It is what it is. I'm not going to have an aneurism over something I can't control. The squad will be ok to start the season with, and worst case scenario we have the January window. My one gripe, as I said at the start of summer, is we should let those players that want out just go, while trying to get the best money we can for them, so we have plenty of time to settle the squad and sign reinforcements. As it is we still have Lovren, Osvaldo and Morgan here and no one is quite sure what will become of them. Ramirez too, who looked like he was on his way early summer. And the transfer targets of Jay, Chambers and the contract uncertainty of Cork and Fonte. For now I'm confident we'll do what we need to do, in Koeman I trust, but I have one eye on the calendar. A signing before Wednesday would be nice though...

Rehash of an old article? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?49868-Arsenal-looking-to-sign-Callum-Slattery#.U8u8lye9KSM

£14 million? Are clubs deliberately giving Liverpool too much money so they can buy our players? That fee is a joke for Borini. Cracking business from Liverpool there. And signing Remy for half that!
-
I agree, our transfer business is done. There's no way we'll sign anyone else now. 17th would be a cracking finish with the turd we have in our squad. Ok, sorry for the sarcasm, but I'm drunk and tired. Still even if those 4 you mention do better than us, that's still a 12th place finish, which for a transition season is fine by me.

I've had a Browny day, usually after a curry the night before.

3am, 12th hour of drinking, and I was on Windsor and Eton bridge watching the spectacle. 'Twas unbelievable, really awesome display of nature's power.

Violent too he took a good couple of swipes at the other fella.

Say that 3 times and Buzzin 'Orn shows up...

If we sign him, he'll be St Ings. Stings. Geddit? We can nickname him "the Wasp."
-
Watching the highlights, it's comforting to see we have a talented bunch of young players should we need to call on them thus season.

Cheeky bid for Wilshere? Nah! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2692022/Jack-Wilshere-pictured-smoking-holiday-Las-Vegas-England-World-Cup-exit.htmlThe Joe Hart photo is particularly disturbing.

That bit when they very first go down? Nailed that. After that I mastered the sitting up bit.

Too old for SFC, get rid. :-) Happy Birthday Graz. (Incidentally I showed my missus the picture of Pelle the other day. She said he was "OK" looking. Mind you, this from the woman that is massively in love with David Bentley and thinks Kelvin Davis is the fittest Saint. And picked me. And isn't exactly a looker herself. I didn't say that...)

Ronald Queuemun. The patient one. :-) I have it as Koomun too, but it's not uncommon for some people to mispronounce a name. Even commentators differ on some names. Font. Fontee. Fontay.
-
Unless we have two TOP defensive targets lined up, both of which we actually do sign we would be foolish to allow Fonte to leave. Lovren's position is uncertain, and selling Fonte would leave us with a positionally poor Yoshida and the Own Goal king Hooiveld. Sorry Cardiff, but i can't see it happening. (Although I personally think £4million sounds about right.)
